Obituary: CHUTTER, William Billy P., age 48, of Lakeland, FL passed away on Sept. 27, 2014. Billy was a 1984 graduate of Kathleen High School and played the trumpet in the band. high school, Billy worked as a furniture salesman and also got a degree in computer web designs. When his mother fell ill he was her main caregiver. she passed away, he moved to the mountains of Tennessee for awhile. He loved the change of seasons. He then moved back to Florida and lived in Ft. Meade for a bit and then moved to Mulberry with his best friends, Jeff and Kenny, and his cat Sheba. Billy loved his cat and was a catsitter to Punkin and Rudy for Frank and Helen Fletcher. He was always such a happy person and had the biggest smile and a hearty laugh. Once you met Billy, he was "your friend". He loved playing computer video games and watching movies. He also loved to cook and try out new recipes and was a big fan of the "Buccaneers" football team too! He is predeceased by his parents William O. and Mary Lee Chutter. He is survived by Uncle Frank and Aunt Helen Fletcher, other uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. A Celebration of Life will be Sat., Oct. 11, 2014, 1pm at Wells Memorial. A Memorial Service will begin at 2pm. |

Obituary: Tampa, Florida- Mr. Robert Bob Chute, 77, of Florida and Peabody, loving companion of Gloria Swalgen, passed away peacefully, at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, Florida. Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Roland Sr. and Sarah Chute, longtime owners of Chutes Candy in Salem. An honorably discharged veteran, Bob proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. Prior to his retirement he had been employed by the H.P. Hood for many years. Following his retirement Bob and Gloria traveled the world and maintained homes in Peabody and Florida. Surviving Bob in addition to his companion of 40 years, Gloria, he is survived by his children Debbie, Joseph and Craig, his sister-in-law, Mary Ann Fawson & her husband Kevin of Danvers and his nephew, Jim Swalgen and his wife Stefanie of Hookset, N.H., his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Shirley Chute and Roland Chute, Jr. : A visitation will be held in The ODonnell , 46 Washington Sq., (on Salem Common) Salem, on 26th 2014 from 4 to 6:30 P.M. with a service to follow at 6:30 P.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bobs memory to the Alzheimers Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
