Obituary: Brenda Elaine Christensen passed away , 4th, 2016. She left this world surrounded by love from her beloved family: son, Freddy Christensen, daughter and son-in-law Lori and Jose Franco, daughter and son-in-law Kelli and Jacob Babins, daughter, Kati Christensen, son, Cody Christensen, parents, Joseph and Rosalind Beavers, and siblings, brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Barbara Beavers, brother and partner, Michael Beavers and Patricia Torrey, and sister and brother-in-law Lori and Mark Glaser. Brenda was the most beautiful person inside and out. She was, first and foremost, a daughter and sister. Brenda always watched over and took care of her parents and her siblings. Brenda brought pride and adoration to the hearts of all her family. She had a resilient, hard-working mentality that led her to many accomplishments. Higher education was one of them. Brenda went to college on a tennis scholarship and even played on the softball team. She graduated from University of Central Florida and went on to an impactful teaching career where she brought joy and happiness to thousands of students, parents, and colleagues. Brenda also achieved a Masters of Science from Nova Southeastern University while teaching. She continued to teach until the last of her kids were born in 1994. She then became a respected realtor and dedicated mother. Brenda fully deserved the title Best Mom in the Whole Wide World. She raised her five kids single handedly, with unending patience, forgiveness, and faithfulness. She made time for each child individually and participated in as many events as possible. She somehow got each child to different schools, basketball practice, cheerleading practice, t-ball practice, baseball practice, dance rehearsals, and even friends houses simultaneously. She never complained, instead she smiled, laughed, and cherished every moment. Her love was unfailing. Nothing can replace the feeling of her hugs, seeing her smile, or the sound of her laughter. Brenda made her gentleness and kindness known to all. Not only did she make time for her kids, Brenda made time for anyone who needed her help whether it be a friend or stranger. She only helped privately and from the goodness of her heart. She cared deeply for every person lucky enough to meet her. She was a symbol of warmth and strength. Her support, wisdom, care, generosity, and love had no end. Her legacy will live on in each of us touched by her love. No words will ever be able to do justice to describe how amazing our dear Brenda truly was or the hole she has left in our hearts. Brenda will never be forgotten in our hearts and her memory will always be revered. She was a blessing to us all! |

Obituary: CHRISTENSEN, Antonia “Toni”, age 101, of Hernando Beach passed away peacefully 2, 2015. Beloved wife for 72 years to the late Harold Borregaard Christensen. She will be forever missed and never forgotten by her loving sons Jorgen and Preben, 2 daughter-in-laws, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, family and friends. Born 11, 1913 in Vienna, Austria she was rescued by the Red Cross and survived WWI and WWII in Denmark. the Second World War, Toni, Harold and her sons lived in Sweden and Canada before finally immigrating to the United States in 1956. Toni proudly became a US citizen in 1961 and has resided in the Nature Coast area the past 42 years.
