Obituary: Fred Joseph Cascio of Ormond Beach, Florida, formerly of Staten Island, New York, passed peacefully on , 12, 2017, at Florida Memorial Hospital. He was born in Manhattan, New York. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Cecelia Cascio, his daughter Louise Duval and Pedro Salcedo, his daughter Susan and her husband, Anthony Oliveri, his daughter Kathleen and her husband, Richard Gaughran, his grandchildren Regina, Pat, Melanie, Marc, Emily, Michael, Thomas, Katie, Nicolas, Veronica, Charles, and great grandchildren Beckett, Carter, Lucas, and Arwen. Fred is survived by his brother Arthur Cascio, as well as many loving family members and close friends. His parents were Joseph and Amelia Cascio. Fred was a veteran of the Korean War. He loved his country and hung his flag proudly. Fred was a people person and loved to socialize with his wife and close friends. He was very witty and always had a quick comeback. He loved to dance and was a good singer, and he could play a mean harmonica. Fred was an outdoorsman and loved being in the mountains. He was a birdwatcher and always kept his birdfeeder full. Fred was an avid fisherman in his day. Fred was a family man and was always there for them when needed. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that you make a donation to www.dementiasociety.org/donate. A private visitation was held for the family. A Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church will be announced and take place at a later date, with inurnment and military honors at Cape Canaveral National .
