Obituary: Lynette Jean Carwana (Franklin), 57, a Florida resident for over 30 years, formerly of Dayton Ohio, passed away peacefully on 17, 2015. Lynette was born 5, 1958 in Belleville, Illinois. Her father, Vernie Franklin was in the Air force and their family lived in many different states including; Illinois, Arkansas, North Carolina, and Ohio. also spent some time living in England. She graduated from Stebbins High school of Riverside, Ohio in 1976 and continued her education at Wright State University where she graduated with her Bachelors degree. Following her graduation, Lynette moved to Florida to pursue a career in Elementary Education. Lynette was a parishioner at St. Cecilias Catholic Church in Fort Myers, FL where she and her husband were actively involved. She also volunteered her time in the childrens liturgy program at the church. While her children were growing up, Lynette spent time as a Girl Scout Leader in her daughters troops. Lynettes lifelong career as well as her greatest passion was teaching. She taught in the Lee School District for 33 years at multiple schools including Alva Elementary, Heights Elementary and most recently second grade at Caloosa Elementary school in Cape Coral, Florida. Determined to not let her diagnosis stop her she continued to teach up until a few months before her passing. Lynette was a dedicated and passionate teacher that many strived to emulate. She touched and changed the lives of many children throughout the years that she spent in the classroom. She also thoroughly enjoyed volunteering with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, an organization very near and dear to her and her familys hearts. Lynette is survived by her loving devoted husband of 27 years, David; her father, Vernie Franklin of Cape Coral, FL; daughters, Jennifer Welsch of Oceanside, CA; Traci Carwana of Fort Myers, FL; siblings, Frank Franklin of Finland, and Mike Franklin of Dayton OH. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Brandy Franklin, Britni Johnson, Carson Franklin and Mercedes Franklin, many aunts, uncles; as well as numerous close friends that she saw as an outpouring of her family. The love she gave as a wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend was very special. Lynette was preceded in death by her mother, Lilian Franklin. A memorial service will be held in the near future (TBA approx. 6 weeks) at Coral Ridge and .
