Obituary: Janice (Jan) T. Carr, age 76, of Palm Harbor, Florida, passed away on , 5, 2014. She was born on 14, 1937, in Reidsville, North Carolina to the Late George and Cavell Trent. She graduated from Reidsville High School and attended East Carolina University. She married the late Alvis B. Carr Jr. on 25, 1957 and soon moved to Panama where they lived until returning to the States in 1976. She is survived by two children, Bryan Carr;Elaine Reedy and husband Brad; two brothers, Butch Trent and wife Stephanie; Danny Trent; sister-in-law Judy Bell; 7 nieces and nephews; and 15 great-nieces and nephews. She is the beloved "Grandma" or "JaMa" to six grandchildren, Alica Thomas, Stephanie Carr, Erik and Taylor Reedy, Joshua Walton and Janice Walton; and four great-grandchildren, Lily Reel, Alliana Thomas, Kinleigh Schuyler and Silas Thomas. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol C. Walton. Jan loved to travel and lived in and visited many exciting places. She was a kid at heart and loved anything Disney. She was an avid reader, loved to watch movies, her favorite cartoon character E'ore and talking to people. She was on a first name basis with people all over her community from the cashier and bagger at the local grocery store, to the teller at the bank, to the manager at her favorite McDonald's, to the mechanic who worked on her car. She never knew a stranger and people loved "Miss Carr". Godspeed Mom as you make your final journey. Rest now and be peaceful. Know that the ache from the absence of your touch will be forever felt. Obituary: H. Judson Judd Carr, 81, of Naples, FL died 8, 2015 at his residence. Formerly from Essex, CT, he became a permanent resident of Florida in 2009. Judd graduated from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA. He then enlisted in the U. S. Navy. service he completed his JD degree at Dickinson Law School in PA. He practiced law in Essex, CT with Gould, Sivin, Larson, Reardon, Carr & Stanley for 20 years. He established his own law firm with son-in-law, Steve Cline and practiced for the next 24 years. Judd was a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Essex Rotary Club. He was a founder and subsequently, Chairman of the Board of Maritime Bank. In addition, Judd was the previous owner of Dauntless Shipyard in Essex. He was instrumental in establishing the Essex Foundation for specific local giving and support to the community. Judd and his wife, Shirley traveled the 49 States, Canada and Mexico by RV. cruised the Eastern Waterways and Coastline by boat including the Great Loop Cruise. In addition, they spent over a month camping in New Zealand. Judd is survived by his wife of 58+ years, Shirley Hall Carr of Naples; his children, Timothy John Carr of Dundee, FL; Charles Judson (Jennifer) Carr of Falmouth, ME and Miriam May Emmy Carr of Essex, CT. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Jacqueline (Peter Dudgeon) Carr , Kaitlyn (Matt) Merola, Jeffrey Cline, Kelly Cline, Hudson Carr, and Tiffany TJ Carr, and two brothers, Dan (Peg) Carr of NY, and Roger (Carol) Carr of VA.
