Obituary: Campo, Carmela Fonte 83, of Tampa, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 11, 2015. She was born in Tampa on 27, 1931 to Ignacio and Rosalia Fonte. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Dr. Joseph Campo. Carmela was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who deeply loved her family and many friends. She is survived by her son, Dr. John Campo and his wife Alicia; daughter, Camille and her husband, Dr. Sebastian Ciacchella; two granddaughters, Michelle and Angela Ciacchella; sister, Angie Clemente; brothers, Angelo Fonte Sr., I. G. Fonte Jr., Sam Fonte, Frank Fonte and Harry Fonte and many nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Hillsborough High School, a member of the Newman Club, Latin American Fiesta Court and a registered x-ray technician. Carmela was a devout Catholic and a long-standing member of Christ the King Catholic Church. A visitation will be held from 4pm -7pm on , Feb. 16th at Blount and Curry – MacDill, 605 S. MacDill Ave. A funeral mass will be held at 10am on , Feb. 17th at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. |

He is survived by his daughter Ava Summers (Jeff), grandson Sebastian Campisi Teabo, sisters Rosanne Marroco (John) and Carolyn DiNicola (Joe), nieces Michelle Creasy and Juliann DiNicola, step mother Grace Campisi, step father Frank Lopez, former wife Ava Marie Campisi, aunt Dora Pardo and cousins Vince J. Obituary: Campisi, Frank V., 83, passed away on 13, 2014, after a three year valiant fight against multiple myeloma. Frank was a native of Tampa. He attended the University of Florida and received a Bachelors degree from Florida Southern University. He was accepted in to Officer Candidate School in the United States Air Force. He became an aircraft commander and piloted refueling tankers as part of Strategic Air Command (SAC). He achieved the rank of Captain before ending his service in 1959. For the next 50 years, he served as president of J.V. Campisi Inc., at the Tampa Wholesale Produce Market. Frank was a Bull Gator with a passion for the Orange and Blue. He was a Foundation Member at the University of Florida and served on the UF Presidents Council. He co-founded the Tracy Caulkins Super Scholarship at the University. Frank was a board member of the Hillsborough Expressway Authority at the request of his friend Governor Bob Martinez. He was a board member of the Italian American Invitational Golf Tournament for charity. In 2009, the Hillsborough Board of Commissioners recognized Frank for his contributions to the community. Frank was preceded in death by his father, Vincenzo Campisi, his mother, Rosalie Arcuri and his brother, Victor Campisi. He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Linda (Medero), his daughter Taren (Triggs, William), and his son Frank W. He was proud of his three grandchildren, Billy and Marlye Triggs and Phillip A. Campisi. He will be greatly missed by his family, his community and his Gator friends.
