Obituary: William John Cain, Jr, 93, has passed away. Born in Hibbing, Minnesota to William and Fanny Cain, Mr. Cain served our country in the Army during WWII. During his enlistment, he was decorated with the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal, and both the American and Asiatic-Pacific Theater Service Medals. Mr. Cain was a Merchant Marine, employed by Exxon throughout most of his working life, and in his spare time he enjoyed painting. He was also famous for being able to fix anything, as long as he had duct tape. Mr. Cain was the sole survivor of the Cain children, being predeceased by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived and greatly missed by daughters Deborah Anne Cain and Kathy Maurice, grandchildren Shawn Maurice and Genevieve Tromeley, and great-grandchildren Sara and Jayden Maurice. A visitation will be held at Woodlawn on , 26th from 2-4pm, with a service to start at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Williams name to the Wounded Warrior Project. |

Obituary: William L. Cain, Jr. 84 Passed away 4, 2015 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Bill was born and raised in Kansas City, KS. He served honorably in the USMC. He moved to Colorado from Kansas in 1974 and started the Bill Cain , which was an auto parts supplier to body shops in the state of Colorado. He later moved the company to Wellsville, Kansas until his retirement in 2012, at which time he and his wife Dora move to New Smyrna Beach, Fl. Bill had a passion for music and sales. Bill was oldest of seven children. He was preceded in death by his parents; William and Blanche Cain, Daughters; Cindy Peterson and Diane Shultz, Sisters; Virginia Gower and Gloria Langston, Brothers; Wayne Cain and Lenny Cain. He is survived by his wife Dora, daughter Debi (John) Wallace, son Bret (Amy) Ingold, Sisters; Francis Stone and Gail Meyers and beloved cousin Jim (Nina) Ashlock, 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Obituary: A celebration of life for Susan Gail Cain (nee Mahan), who passed away suddenly on , 24, 2011, will be 1:00 pm on , 30, 2011 at Volusia Memorial , 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 am until the service begins at 1:00 pm. The interment will be at Woodland , Port Orange, FL immediately following the service. Susan was born in Evansville, Indiana and spent most of her years living in Florida although she traveled the country in her childhood as a military brat. Susan was a 1978 graduate of Spruce Creek High School. She worked for over 30 years in the banking and mortgage industry. Susan enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid horse lover and competitor for many years. Susan was preceded in death by her father, Burnett H. Mahan and brother, Michael B. Mahan. Susan leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Robert Cain, Altamonte Springs; daughter, Kristen Girard, Orlando; mother, Linda Hill-Mahan, Port Orange; brother, Steven Mahan, Charlotte, N.C.; sister, Lynnette (Michael) Schervish, Port Orange; brothers: Paul Mahan, Orlando and Dr. Philip (Catherine) Mahan, Winston-Salem, N.C.; mother-in-law, Betty W. Collins, New Smyrna Beach; sister-in-law, Donna Cain, New Smyrna Beach.
