Obituary: service for Christie Knight Caine, age 48 of Sylacauga, will be , 23, 2016 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Sylacauga with Dr. Rick Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial . Mrs. Caine passed away on 20, 2016 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her father, James Heflin Knight. Christie was a graduate of Benjamin Russell High School. She also graduated from Auburn University where she earned a Masters Degree. Christie was a teacher at Sylacauga High School where she was er Tech director for 14 years. During this time, she played an intricate role in developing such programs as Aggie Vols and HOT programs. Christie's grant writing established many programs for the city school system. She was also Varsity Cheer Sponsor, Asst. Softball Coach, FBLA Advisor and former Teacher of the Year. Through all of these activities, Christie kept her family first. She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Randy Caine; daughter, Randie Caroline Caine; son and daughter-in-law, Taylor and Beth Caine; mother, Charlotte Murray Knight; sisters, Karen Knight Eastin (George), Annette Knight Miller (John); nieces, Stephanie Pesterfield (Brad), Jamie Bradshaw (Michael), Lauren Miller; nephew, John Michael Miller; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be , 23 from 12:30-3:00 at First Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Rhett Aderholt, Tripp Hodges, Conner Roberson, Chandler Deerman, John McKinney, Thomas Roberts. Honorary pallbearer will be Daniel Roberts. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christie Caine Scholarship Fund, c/o Heritage South Credit Union. under the direction of Curtis and Son , Sylacauga, AL. |
