Obituary: Lennav (Lennie) Thompson Waltman Conklin, 92, passed away 7, 2015. Lennav Thompson was born 5, 1923 near a small town in Oklahoma named Hastings. She was the first child born to her parents. Three and one half years later they had a son, Joe, her only sibling who is deceased. In , 1930, a cyclone leveled all crops and most of what the family owned. decided to go west and took two weeks to move to central California. In 1933 the family moved to northern California where there was work in a lumber mill. When Lennav started the 7th grade and had to cross a large, deep bay in a rowboat for school, her parents decided to move to Crockett in the bay area where they found work again. Lennav finished high school there. in 1942 she married LeRoy Waltman. 6 months, he was drafted and spent three years in the Army. Their first child, Denise, was born in 1943. LeRoy came home from Europe in 1945 and they made their home in Richmond where Donald was born in 1947. In 1952 they moved to Middletown where David, another son was born in 1954. Another move took them to a small town near Sacramento, Dixon, in 1956. Here, the family thrived and expected to remain. However, in 1967 both Lennav and LeRoy lost their jobs with the Army. LeRoy found work in Denver at the Federal and 1968 was a very traumatic year. LeRoy moved in , found the Golden Church, a house in Lakewood, and moved the family in , 1968. Eventually, Lennav found a job with the Air Force at Lowry AFB. Both older children were finishing college and David was in junior high. It was a busy time with church and making new friends. In 1979, LeRoy retired and 1983 Lennav retired. Life seemed great! Suddenly in 1988 LeRoy had an aortic aneurism and died. Lennav remained in their home. In 1995, she married Robert Conklin, a man she had met earlier at church. Robert moved into Lennavs heart and home. In 2006 Bob and Lennie moved from the house on Colorado Ave to an apartment close by in Lakewood. Their years together were spent happily doing volunteer work, traveling and still attending the Golden Church where they had many friends. This continued until both had physical problems and slowed down. This pained Lennie greatly as she was not finished traveling. Now, she has travelled to a much better home. One of Lennies proudest moments was when each of her three children decided to become a Christian. Lennie was preceded in death by husbands, LeRoy Waltman and Robert Conklin; daughter, Denise; grandson, Balde, Jr. She is survived by sons, Don (Debbi) Waltman, Dave (Diane) Waltman; son-in-law, Balde; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew. Obituary: Kenneth Ray Conklin Kenny, 63, left peacefully to be with his Lord on , 23, 2013 at his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Kenneth was born on 8, 1950 in Roswell, New Mexico to Nettie Marie and Littleton Hobbs Conklin. He married his high school sweetheart, Linda Gail Belyeu the love of his life, on 21, 1970 in Dexter, New Mexico. The two of them owned AGA Low Vision which provided magnification equipment for the visually impaired. Kenneth was a godly Christian man who had a deep love for Christ. Throughout his life he served the church in various lay ministries. He enjoyed showing Christs love to others and aspired to be the best example of a husband, father, PaPa, and friend. He took pleasure in the great outdoors and pursued golf, skiing, hiking, and running. He was passionate about good Mexican food and particularly loved Hatch, New Mexico Chile. Kenneth was also active with Joni and Friends, as well as many organizations for the visually impaired. He is survived by his wife Linda Belyeu-Conklin, his son Brian and wife Shannon Conklin, his daughter Erin and husband Wade Moter. He also has 8 wonderful grandkids, Gabriel, Joshua, Isabella, Abygaile, Andrew, Ian, Quentin, and Johanna that he enjoyed and loved very much. His surviving siblings are Cecil Conklin, Geraldine Swarengin, Billie Grimm, Larry Conklin, and Patricia Berry. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Margaret Vescovi. A Memorial Service officiated by Pastor Brent Williams was held on , 1st 2013, at 10:30 AM at Woodmen Valley Chapel, 8292 Woodmen Valley View, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Obituary: James Z. Jim Junior Conklin, Jr., 91, of Greeley, passed away , 6, 2015 at Life of Greeley. Jim was born on May 17, 1923 in Stockville, Nebraska to James Zoar and Mildred Alma (Guthrie) Conklin. Jim was raised on a farm in Nebraska, until he was 8. The family moved to New Raymer and then to Greeley, where Jim graduated from Greeley High School in 1941. On 10, 1959, he married Florence Jane Ferguson in Greeley. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the Evans VFW. Jim was a Union Rep and president for several terms with the United States Postal Service., which is where he retired from. He enjoyed taking family vacations in his early years. Jim was interested in sports and was a Bronco fan. Jim is survived by his wife, Jane; two daughters, Marjorie Margie Ann (Steve) Ryder and Tillie (Tony) Marshall; son, Thomas Allen Tom (Lisa) Conklin and grandchildren, Christopher Marshall (Regina), James A. Marshall, Jr. (Brenda), Andrew D. Marshall (Chrissy), Joel P. Marshall, John Marshall (Celeste), Michael Conklin, Joshua Conklin, Nathaniel Conklin, Seth T. Conklin, Mari Conklin and Justin A. Ryder; 17 great-granddaughters; 17 great-grandsons; one great-great-granddaughter and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, James Jimmy Willard Conklin, grandson, Brandon James Ryder and two brothers.
