Obituary: Kenneth (Kenny) William Childress passed away , 9, 2016. He was born to Kenneth Lee Childress, and Barbara Jean Childress-Moore. Kenneth was in the automotive field for 35 years, and had an Associate in Auto Body, and Bachelors in History. He taught at Pueblo Community , and coached football, and soccer for 10+ years. In his spare time, Kenneth enjoyed building street rods. He is survived by parents Kenneth, and Barbara Childress of Beulah, his wife Maria Childress of Pueblo West. Also he is survived by his Sister Delia (Frank) Lechtenberg of Beulah, Brothers Jeff (Debbie) Childress of Pueblo West and Danny (Janelle) Gift, his Sons Bruce Childress of Arizona, and Robelee Childress of Virginia, his Daughter Kayland Childress of Pueblo West. Kenneth is also survived by his grandsons Chaz, Chalil, and DJ, along with numerous aunts, uncles cousins, nieces, and nephews. Viewing will be held , 16th, at 5:00 P.M., at Imperial . Obituary: James Austin Childress, 87, passed away on 4, 2017, at Primrose Retirement Community. He was born 10, 1929, in Aspermont, Texas, to Millard Fillmore & Mollie Moore Childress. He is survived by two children, Debbie (Jeff) Childress, Mike (Cathy) Childress; four grandchildren, Elizabeth (Thomas) Parker, Melissa (David) Zeleznikar, Samantha (Kyle) Swindler, Kat Childress; two great-grandsons, Adam and Jacob Zeleznikar, brother-in-law Richard (Bettyann) West; sister’s -in- law, Gerry West and Connie (Richard) Nelson; plus many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Donna Childress; his parents Millard and Mollie Childress; his sister, Hazel (Blanton) Franks; brother, Sam (Betty) Childress; and many other beloved family members. Jim owned and operated four drycleaning shops in Salt Lake City, Utah, and later, Town and Country Cleaners in Granby, Colo. Jim served in the U. S. Army in Korea as an engineer building airstrips. He enjoyed skiing, waterskiing, reading, golfing, calligraphy, and spending time with his family. Jim was a 32nd Degree Mason, and a Shriner. Jim was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, and will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Primrose Retirement Community for all the great care he received over the past 3 ½ years, special caregivers, Linda, Sally, Marlene, GiGi, Nancy, and Kenzie, and Sangre De Cristo Hospice. At his request, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of his life at Church of Eternal Hills in Tabernash, Colo. at a later date.
