Obituary: Alan F. Clark Al left us to be with God on 20th at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital at the age of 76. He is survived by his loving wife Renate, children Rob (Cindy), Marianne (Dan), David, Patrick, Robert (Lisa) and Jennifer. He loved being grandpa (Poppa) to his 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He also has numerous nephews and cousins. AL worked at Fox 6 (WITI) for 45years before retiring in 2008. He loved his job and the people he worked with. his retirement he worked for Studio Gear as repair technician and inspector of equipment coming in and going out. He hated to give this position up due to his ALS. Al will be remembered for his stories and jokes. He had a great sense of humor even until the end. He never turned away anyone in need and was always happiest in front of a grill. Every year he looked forward to going back home to Nebraska to visit his cousin. His grandchildren were the light of his life and he was the best role model they could ever ask for. A big thank you to the Menomonee Falls Coach Cassidy ALS group for all the help and resources they provided us with for the last 3 years. Also the Menomonee Falls High School Business Class Honor students were here for us whenever we needed them. The ALS group as well as the capstone team (students) came to clean the yard, showed snow, help decorate for Christmas and the engineering students designed a handle for Als wheelchair so he has more functionality. Thank you again for all you did for us. Barb Widule, the best caretaker anyone could wish for. She became a true friend to us and no matter what happened with Al she was always here with a smile and cheering him on sharing bagels with him for breakfast. Barb even came to the hospital for a bit and shaved him, brushed his teeth. We can never thank you enough for what she did for us. Lastly, we would like to thank two special nurses at Elmbrook Hospital, Nurse Mike and Nurse Jessica who did everything in their power to make Al comfortable the last night and last day of his life. AL my love, God opened his arms to embrace you and welcome you home. He made you whole again, no more pain and agony. You can dance again in heaven and I will join you when my time comes. You will always be with me and the ones you love and loved you. I love you. |
