Obituary: Helen Claus 25, 1936 ~ 28, 2016 Helen loved everyone and everyone loved Helen! Helen Claus, 79, passed away on , 28, 2016 at the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver, WA. She was born in Hannover, German on 25, 1936. Helen married Guenter Claus in Germany of 22, 1958 and together they moved to the states. During most of her life, Helen lived in Vancouver where she worked as a bookkeeper for Bolger/Hi-School Pharmacy for 25 years. Helen was truly genuine person and loved her family more than anything. She was kind to everyone and always put others before herself. She left cold drinks for the garbage men, gifts for nurses/doctors at holidays, and carried a supply of individually wrapped candies to give to any workers that she interacted with throughout her day. She remembered everyones birthday and anniversary and had a special talent to make everyone feel special and loved. Helen got so much joy out of doing for others and that is truly what made her happy. Helen was a loving mother to her three children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends. To say that we will miss our mother, grandmother, and friend, is an understatement. May she rest in peace knowing that we will love her forever! Helen is survived by her son, Greg Claus (Tracy); daughter, Stefanie Williams (Randy); granddaughter, Nicole Halvorsen; grandson, Lee Halvorsen and granddaughter, Ashley Claus. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Guenter Claus (6/19/2015); and daughter and her husband, Angie and Randy Persinger. A Celebration of Life will be held for both Helen and Guenter Claus at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Chapel on , 27, 2016 at 12:30PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be sent to Alzheimers Foundation at alzfdn.org. |
