Obituary: Mary Ann Clark 78, of Snohomish, WA. passed away at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland, WA on the 16th of , 2015. Mary was greeted at birth by her parents Gordon and Bessie Quantrell along with her brothers Don, Keith and Bill and the rest of the world in Wapato, WA. on Sept 19th 1937. Mary grew up in Wapato and married Elden Clark of Sunnyside, WA. moved to the Seattle area in 1957. Mary was totally devoted to her family and friends and is survived by her six children, Judy, Larry, Bob, Suzie, Don and Kimberly. Twenty grand children, sixteen great grandchildren with another on the way, three great great grandchildren, her brothers Don and Phil and sister Judy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elden, brothers Bill and Keith, sister Shirley, sons Billy and Ron and grandsons Jeremy and Robby. Obituary: Mary Jo Clark was born in Bozeman, Montana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Capt. George A. Jahant, US Army; and Irby Crawford Jahant, and her older siblings, George Jahant, Jr., Angela Alderson, and Paul Jahant. Mary Jo is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Lyle M. Clark; by her children, Lyle M. (Skip) Clark, Jr. (Pat), Dean G. Clark (Susan), and Victoria L. Carlson (David); by seven grandchildren; and by five great-grandchildren. In 1943 she graduated from Roosevelt High School in Seattle. She then enrolled in the University of Washington. Mary Jo accepted an invitation to join the Delta Gamma sorority, where she developed many lifelong friendships. She met Lyle Clark not long after Lyle returned to the university after serving in the Army during World War II. were married on 24, 1946. Mary Jo later dropped out of college halfway through her junior year and worked as a medical secretary so Lyle could complete his degree. Lyle and Mary Jo co-founded Clark Stationery Co. in 1950, which later became Clark Office Products, Inc., a mainstay of Lake Citys business community for several decades. She continued working there part-time until their third child, Vicki, was born in 1956. She was an avid volunteer for several organizations, including PTA, Ryther Child , the Washington Park Arboretum Foundation, and the Seattle Milk Fund. Mary Jos passions included gardening, skiing, boating, golfing, reading, cooking, entertaining, and being with her many close friends. Above all, though, was her love and support for her husband and family. A memorial service will be held at Emerald Heights Retirement Community, 10901 176th Circle NE, Redmond, WA 98052, on , May 9, 2015, at 2:30 pm. Obituary: Mary Jane Tessie Clark (age 90) went home to be with her Lord Jesus on 6, 2015 in Spokane, WA. She was born 15, 1924 to Raymond and Jenny Tessitore in East Mauch Chunk, PA, (now known as Jim Thorpe, PA). In 1942 Mary graduated from East Mauch Chunk High School, and at the age of 19 moved to Pottstown, PA. She was employed at Western Union and later at the Pottstown Mercury. In 1961 Mary moved to Bremerton, WA where she worked for the Bremerton Sun until retiring in 1989. Following her retirement she enjoyed volunteering at the Naval Hospital in Bremerton. Mary enjoyed playing her Hammond organ, and loved dancing. She also enjoyed traveling, taking walks, being with and helping people, as Mary knew no strangers. In 2008 she moved to Harbor Crest Retirement Community in Spokane to be close to her son and daughter-in-law. In Spokane she attended Park Heights Baptist Church, where she loved worshipping her Lord Jesus. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Byron E. Clark. She is survived by her son, Ray Mengel and wife Pam in Spokane; her sister, Pauline Bokeko and husband Vince in Jim Thorpe, PA; a niece, Janet, two nephews, Vincent and James, two great-nephews, Matthew and Mark and a great-niece, Tara. At Marys request no public service will be held. The family wishes to thank the staff at both Harbor Crest Retirement Community and Hospice of Spokane for their wonderful care. Memorial contributions may be made to the local Alzheimers chapter. |
