Obituary: Passed away on 24th, 2012 in Richland, Wa. Vivian was born Oct. 9, 1911 in Nogales, Arizona Territory, before it became a State, to Jim and Mary Louise (Billings) Reagan, who were both from pioneer Texas families. Vivians great, great grandfather, Andrew Kent, died while defending the Alamo in 1836. Vivian was raised in Patagonia, Arizona and graduated from Patagonia Union High School where she lettered in basketball. She married Presley Lewis Cheshire in 1932 in Nogales where his father was mayor and had the Chevrolet dealership. Vivian and Presley moved to Yakima in 1941 where he was the Pontiac dealer. belonged to the First Presbyterian Church. Their 3 children were raised in Yakima and graduated from Yakima High School. then moved to Seattle in 1958 where Presley worked for Investors Diversified Services where he retired. came to Spokane for a few years in 1973 where they both managed San Souci mobile home park before moving back to Seattle where they had a home. Vivian enjoyed gardening with her flowers, playing bridge with her friends, and oil painting . Her favorite pastime was traveling in their motor home and leading the Seattle Shrine Club on several trips down through Mexico. Vivian and Presley were the group leaders since they both spoke fluent Spanish. She also enjoyed getting together with her children and grandchildren, especially for the annual family reunions held at various resorts around the Pacific Northwest. Presley predeceased Vivian in 1996 after 64 years of marriage. Vivian moved to Spokane in 2000 and lived at Fairwinds Retirement . She then moved to Richland in 2007 and lived at Alterra (now Wynnwood) Retirement . moving out of Seattle, Vivians family purchased a condominium in Seaside, Oregon where she continued to visit several times a year. The family graciously offered the Condo for other relatives to use. Vivian is survived by her children, Presley Wayne Cheshire (Gail) of Portland OR, James Lewis Cheshire (Diane) of Richland WA, and Barbara Louise Hooper (Hal) of Spokane WA. And grandchildren, Presley Michael Cheshire of Seattle, Chuck Cheshire of Vancouver, Leslie Underwood of Seattle, Brian Cheshire of California, Jeffrey Cheshire of Richland, Heather Poff of Richland, Kelly Wilcox of Spokane, Kerry Nelson of Spokane, Ken Hooper of Bakersfield, California, Cary Cheshire of San Diego. And great grandchildren Ian, Anna Liisa, Christopher, Bradley, Stacy, Daniel, Ryan, Tyler, Blake, Megan, Mackenzie, Avery, and Landon, great-great grandchildren, Sierra and Cameron. under the direction of Acacia Memorial Park & , Seattle, Washington. |

Obituary: Dorothy Z. Cheshire 15, 1913 ~ 31, 2011 Dorothy Booshi Cheshire, age 97 years, passed away peacefully in the early morning of , 31, 2011 at her residence. For the past 5 years, she had lived happily at Stafford Suites, Sumner, where she made many friends, both seniors and young adults (staff). A lifelong devout Catholic, she was a member of St. Andrews Parish, Sumner. Dorothy was born on 15th, 1913 in Salem Massachusetts to Ignatius and Helena Smerczynski Zabrowski. She was one of six children, two sisters and three brothers; all of her siblings predeceased her. As a young woman, she moved to Washington DC for career advancement. Dorothy was a statistician for the government, working at the Pentagon, and later at Ft. Belvoir VA. While there, she met the Southern gentleman for her, Lehman F. Cheshire Sr. were married on 12th, 1946. One son, Lee Cheshire, was born of this 29 year union. As Dorothys husband was in the Air Force, travel was a part of their lives, being stationed in Germany, Alaska and Maryland. Later in life, she worked at J.C. Penneys as a hobby, and for a way to continue her enjoyment of interacting with people. She was a Red Cross volunteer for many years at Andrews AFB Hospital in Maryland for many years. When family moved to the West Coast, Dorothy made a spunky transition at the age of 92 to a new life at Stafford Suites. Bingo and day trips to the casinos were her two favorite activities, as well as interacting with the young staff members. becoming a widow at the age of 62, the focus of her life was her son and his family, wife Anne, and the lives of two grandsons Kristopher and Daniel. She overcame her fear of flying in order to visit her grandchildren. In 2010, she celebrated another generation with the birth of her first great granddaughter, Ainslie. A Mass will be conducted at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Sumner, WA on , 6 at 1:30. As were her wishes, she will be buried with her husband at a later date at Arlington National , Washington DC |

Obituary: Ethel Cheshier, 93, of Yakima, passed away 5, 2012 at home surrounded by family. She was born 9, 1919 in Clinton, OK to Elsie & Walter Lane. She moved to Washington State in 1932. She married Oliver Merle Cheshier , 15, 1938. her husband returned from World War II they moved to Union Gap, WA in 1946 and during this time they enjoyed camping, boating, and salmon fishing. In 1965 they moved into their newly built home in Terrace Heights which they both enjoyed sharing with family and friends. Some of her personal passions were sewing, crafting, playing cards, and collecting humming birds. She is survived by 2 daughters, Merlyne Jenkins (Paul), Rena Steiner both of Yakima; 2 sisters Gladys Floyd, Joyce Beaushaw and 3 brothers Earl Lane, Herbert Lane, all of Yakima, and Albert Lane, of Oklahoma. She has 4 grandchildren Kristina Jones (Mark), Cynthia, Troy, Tod Cheshier, and 4 great grandchildren Sabrina Jones, Angel, Shyan, Marvin Cheshier. She was preceded in death by her husband Oliver M Cheshier, son Marvin Cheshier, and son-in-law K. Vance Steiner.
