Obituary: Misty Stanley Compton, of Mechanicsville, Va., passed away 19, 2015. She was preceded in death by her mom, Virginia Melton Stanley. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 13 years, Jeffrey Compton; daughters, Kristen L. Jones, Kacie L. Jones; son, Matthew S. Compton; father, James H. Stanley Jr. ( Nancy); mother-in-law, Linda Eaton (Toney); brothers, Randy Melton, Ricky Stanley (Linda); sister, Tina Cave; three nephews and a niece; and a host of devoted friends and family. Misty was a 26-year employee with Nationwide Insurance. She enjoyed her travel trailer and riding her Harley. The family will receive friends on , 24, from 2 to 4 p.m., and where a memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. at the Atlee Chapel, Woody , 9271 Shady Grove Rd. Obituary: Lois Newman Compton, 87, of Martinsville, passed away , 8, 2015 at her residence. She was born in High Point, NC, 30, 1928 to John Hiram Newman and Nancy Martin Newman. Lois was a life-long member of Starling Avenue Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Lewis Compton; daughter, Mary Katherine Compton; four brothers and five sisters. Surviving are two sons, Richard Dean Compton and wife Teresa, John David Compton and wife Cindy; four grandchildren, Christopher Compton, Candice Compton, Lauren Mize and John Michael Compton and three great-grandchildren.
