Obituary: Demarest Eugene Coffey, 86, of Lynchburg, passed away on , 14, 2015 at The Summit, surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Mary Ann Shelton Coffey for 57 years. Born in Detroit, Michigan on 24, 1928, he was the son of the late Robert and Carolena Coffey. Demarest served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from the Lynchburg Foundry after over 30 years of service and worked in the metal pattern shop. He also was a machine shop instructor at CVCC. Demarest was active in the American Legion, VFW, and Elon Ruritan. Demarest was a member of The First Baptist Church of Monroe where he served as a Deacon and School Teacher. He had a strong faith in the Lord and that passion and drive to serve God was seen in him daily by everyone who met Demarest. He truly did walk as God would have us walk. retirement, he enjoyed woodcarving and he was a wonderful, caring, and loving husband, dad, and granddad. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Pamela C. Thomas and husband James; son, Robert Coffey and wife Laurel; two grandchildren, William Coffey and Christina Thomas; two sisters, Joyce Mason and husband Calvin and Sandra Hughes; and nephews, Kenny Hughes, Kevin Hughes, and Rev. David Mason. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at The Summit for their compassion and wonderful care during Demarests illness. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm on , 16, 2015 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on , 17, 2015 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Rev. Glynn Coleman, Rev. David Mason, and Rev. Dr. Michael Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow at Briarwood Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be presented by the American Legion Post 16. Obituary: Malcolm Coffey, 87, of Fishersville, passed away 30, 2014. He was born 21, 1927 in a to the late Alvin and Fammie DeMastus Coffey. Malcolm served honorably with the 349th Army Infantry Regiment during World War II. He retired from DuPont in 1982 after 38 years of faithful service. He is preceded in death by 2 sons, William D. Coffey and Dennis D. Coffey and his loving wife of 58 years Helen Maupin Coffey. He is also preceded in death by siblings Oakley Coffey and Betty Matheny. Malcolm is survived by one son Bruce M. Coffey and his wife, Mary Beth, of Bent Mountain, Virginia; grandchildren Michelle Coffey of Germany, Phillip Coffey of Waynesboro, Chris Coffey of Waynesboro, Shea Coffey and wife Maggie of Roanoke, Eoin Coffey of Bent Mountain, Niall Coffey of Roanoke, 4 great- grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by special friends, Tom Bartley, and the Wampler family. A service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on , 3, 2014, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick s by the Rev. Patrick Pettit. Burial will follow at a Memorial Park. The family invites all who wish to pay their respects to visit on , 2 at the farm, 996 Entry School Road, Fishersville, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm. Obituary: Adam Nicholas Coffey, 32, of Waynesboro went home , 18, 2015. He was born in Waynesboro on 13, 1983, a son of Darrell G. and Tammy L. Coffey. Adam greatly enjoyed music, writing, and reading. He was gifted in his ability to play the bass guitar, write song lyrics, and expressing himself through poetry. Adam also loved animals. In addition to his parents, left to cherish his memory is his sister, Jessi Kidd and husband, Jeremiah; a special niece, Kyndall Kidd; his grandmother, Marie Landes; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Adam also leaves behind his beloved cats, Bindy and Momma Cat. Adam was predeceased by his grandparents, Guy and Rachel Coffey and Joseph Landes. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., , 23, 2015 at Mount Vernon Church of the Brethren, 90 Mount Vernon Road, Waynesboro, VA 22980 with Pastor Randy Simmons officiating.
