Obituary: Dennis A. Clark (Age 75) Dennis Clark of Vienna, VA died on , 13, 2014. Loving father of Marji (Steve) Grubic and Dennis (Kathy) Clark, grandfather of Tyler, Brandon and Clark Grubic and Ryan Clark, brother of Ann Loew and uncle to 7 nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Diana Janczewski, his companion of 34 years and her children Dr. Mark, Dr. Jola, and Dr. Dianne. He was preceded in death by parents Douglas A. Clark and Catherine Foley Clark and sister Patricia Clark. Mr. Clark was born in DC in 1939. His family moved to NOVA in the 1940s. He graduated St. Johns Academy in DC and then earned a BS degree from Virginia Tech in 1962. He was employed by USDA where he earned a Masters Degree. He retired from USDA in 1986. He became active in real estate and worked at the Fairfax Registrars Office. Mr. Clark was a very active member of the Lions Club, holding many leadership and service positions throughout his life. He was a Past District Governor of 24A Lions of Virginia, a Past President of the Great Falls Lions Club and a current member of the Merrifield Lions Club. He operated the Stamps for the Wounded program for 30 years and was a key organizer and supporter for the Old Dominion Eye Bank Sight Program and the Lions of Virginia Hearing Foundation & Temporal Bone Bank. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Arlington. Mr. Clark was a proud patriot who loved the USA and the Commonwealth of Virginia, was a lifelong member of the Republican Party and a Life Member of the NRA. He was an accomplished skeet and trap shooter, winning several National Skeet Shooting Association competitions at both state and national levels in the 1950s and 1960s. Relatives and friends are invited to Dennis Life Celebration at Money and King , 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on , 19 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 8601 Wolf Trap Rd., Vienna VA on , 20 at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Columbia Gardens . Obituary: FORT BELVOIR, VA – Staff Sergeant David James Clark, 33, passed away , May 10, 2015 at Fort Belvoir Military Base in Virginia. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY, 24, 1982 the son of the late Donna J. Castine. SSG Clark joined the United States Army on 1, 2006. He served honorably at Coleman Barracks, Germany and 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, New York as a Motor Transport Operator. David deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom and twice to Operation Enduring Freedom where he served as leader of soldiers. His vast array of training includes Master Fitness Trainer, HAZMAT Transporter, Air Assault, Combatives Level 1, Warrior Leader Course and Advance Leader Course. David has been awarded four Army Commendation Medals , eight Army Achievement Medals, two Army Good Conduct Medals, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with 3 Bronze stars, Iraq Campaign Medal with 1 Bronze star, the Combat Action Badge, The Air Assault Badge, Driver and Mechanic Badge, and the Marksmanship Qualification Badge. David will be sorely missed. His favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, boating and simply just hanging out with friends and family making them laugh. David was a hardworking, charismatic, loyal and genuine man with an infectious smile and has touched the lives of many. David is survived by his twin sister, Amanda (Clark) Carter and her husband Adam, his nieces Sylvia and Avalee Carter, the love of his life, Paige (Maher) Clark and her parents Michael and Pamela Maher, and special friend and mentor, Norman Bonneau, along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. David is predeceased by his mother Donna Castine and his Grandparents, William and Margaret (Cardin) Castine. Calling hours will be held from 1 to 4 pm on , May 24, 2015 at Ross , 2586 Route 11, Mooers, NY.
