Obituary: Ethel Mary Cave, 87, of Shenandoah passed away on , 9, 2015 at Life of New Market. She was born on May 26, 1927 in Page and was the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Lucas Hilliard. Mrs. Cave retired from the Genie Plant of Shenandoah and was a lifetime member of the Shenandoah Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she taught school for over 50 years. On 19, 1948 she married the love of her life Charles "Wink" Cave who preceded her in death on 26, 2006. She is survived by two sons, Bobby and wife, JoAnn, Buddy and wife, Mary, all of Stanley; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two brothers, Charles and Clyde Hilliard; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends , 11, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Shenandoah Pentecostal Holiness Church. Friends also may call at either of the son's homes. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm, , 12 at the Shenandoah Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Gary Saler and Associate Pastor Larry Sullivan officiating. Arbogast Cave, age 79 years, a native of Cherry Grove, WV and more recently a resident of Winchester, Virginia, departed this life , 2, 2015, at the Winchester Medical at Winchester, VA surrounded by family and friends. She was born , 25, 1935 in Cherry Grove, WV, a daughter of the late Samuel Wesley and Mona Bennett Arbogast. On 27, 1957, she was married to Guy Richard Cave, who preceded her in death 16, 1985. Also surviving are four daughters, Pamela Straley and husband Howard of Elkins, Lois Holt, and Christine Linaburg and husband Frank, all of Winchester and Becky Walton and husband Matthew of Strasburg; two sons, Thomas Cave and wife Teresa of Elkins, and Bradley Cave and Ray of Winchester, ten grandchildren, Jessica Taylor and husband Travis, Stephanie Linaburg, Kenneth Cave and wife , Travis Gongaware, Justin Gongaware, Shannon Straley, Jessica Holt and Dustin, Justin Linaburg and Christy, Josh Constable and Tiffany, and Austin Gongaware; eight great grandchildren and her sister, Ruby Bonnell of Elkins. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ada Nelson, Bonnie McClure, and Katherine Arbogast and five brothers, Dempsey, Junior, Jesse, Weldon, and Keith Arbogast. She was employed at Winchester Medical as a cold food cook, retiring in 2006. The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb of Elkins from 12:30 to 2 PM . On , 7, 2015 at 2 PM, a funeral service will be held. Ron Phillips will officiate and interment will follow at the Glady at Glady, West Virginia. |
