Obituary: Peggy S. Campbell, 75, of Huddleston, Virginia, went to Heaven to be with her husband on , 6, 2016 in Charlottesville at Hospice of the Piedmont. She was born in Waynesboro on 14, 1940 to the late Carl Smith and Mary E. Lane. Peggy was loved by so many. She loved dirt track racing, baking cakes for her family and friends and sewing. She was known as MeMaw, MawMaw and Momma Peggy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Campbell; sister, Debra Mayne; brother, Bobby Claytor; sister-in-law, Helen Massie; Mother-in-law, Fannie Harvey; grandson, Robert Baby Sam Reid. Left to cherish her memory are her children and grandchildren: Tony Campbell and his son, T.J. Hypes, Marie Campbell-Clark and her husband, Darryl and their sons, Cameron Clark and Brent Dull, James W. Campbell and his wife, Alicia and their children, Taylor Love, Anthony Love, Seth Love, Jacob Love, Clyde Campbell, Kayleb Campbell, and Bradley Campbell; Sandra Campbell- Reid and her husband, Tony and their children, Barbara Reid and Lily Reid; sisters, Sharon Craig and her husband, Allen, Joanne Milotte and her husband, Lou, and Dian Hall; brother-in-law, Wayne Campbell and wife, Elaine; sisters-in-law, Anne Shires and her husband, Benny, Elizabeth Betsy Campbell, and Gladys Ross; close friends, Jeff Crowder; as well as numerous extended family. Peggy also leaves behind her little dog, Sammie. Following Peggys wishes for cremation, a memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., , 9, 2016 at Linden Heights Baptist Church, 371 Linden Drive, Staunton, Virginia with Pastor David Ball officiating. The family will receive friends at the church an hour prior to services. There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at UVA for the care for their mother, as well as a thank you to the staff at Hospice of the Piedmont for their care they gave to their mother during the last month of her life. Obituary: Paul Elsworth Campbell, age 82, of Midlothian. Paul died peacefully at home night 8, 2015 from a stroke that he fought bravely to recover from for almost 18 months. Born in Indianapolis, Ind., graduated from Thomas Howe HS in 1950 and Purdue University in 1954. graduation he was commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in the Army Reserve and was assigned to the Transportation Corp. at Fort Eustis, Va. While there he met Bev and they were married in 1955. He is survived by his wife Bev; his son, Boyd and his wife Margaret; his daughter Lisa and her husband Bentley; grandchildren; Caroline and Campbell. Paul retired from Southern States in the Human Resources Department. Paul lived life to the fullest, enjoying his family and church, where he sang with the 8:30 Singers. He loved sports and all desserts, especially the Williamsburg Chocolate Cake that we made for each birthday. His special vacation was Wrightsville Beach, N.C., where he enjoyed boating and being with his beach friends. The family wishes to thank Parham care and all the devoted, caring caregivers, including At -Hospice and his physician Dr. John Barnes. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Salisbury Presbyterian Church where a memorial service will be held on , 13, at 11am. |

Obituary: Norma Poole Roberts Campbell, 88, of Lynchburg passed away , 09, 2015, at The Edley Place. She was the wife of Carl E. Campbell. Born 23, 1927, in Winston-Salem, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Walter Poole and the late Gretta Johannson Poole. Norma was a retired secretary for Babcock and Wilcox and she was a member of Chestnut Hill Baptist Church. Norma was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by one son, Wilson Dee David Roberts, Jr. and one brother, Ralph W. Poole, Jr. In addition to her husband, Norma is survived by two children, Malcolm J. Roberts and his wife Vickie of Lynchburg and Pauline R. Shinn and her husband Stephen of Littleton, NC; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Roberts Carter of Richmond; six grandchildren, Leilani Gilliam and her husband Steve, Jeremy Roberts, Zachary Roberts and his wife Jennifer, Cameron Lonnemann and her husband John, Jacob Brown and his wife Lemma and Lucas Brown and his wife Jessica; seven great grandchildren, Wilson, Drew and Grant Gilliam, Landyn and Harrison Roberts and Noah and Hanna Lonnemann; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted , 14, 2015, at Chestnut Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Bailey officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimers Association. The family would like to express a special thank you to Betty Delara and the staff at The Edley Place and to Nancy Shannon, Mona Ferguson, Edna Hoffman all the wonderful ladies who helped in the home to care for mom.
