Obituary: Adam Ross Cox Adam Ross Cox, 24, of Provo, was called home to our Heavenly Father on , 18, 2007, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born 20, 1983, at Ft. Carson, CO, the son of Fred and Nanci Cox. Adam is survived by his wife, Melissa (Bearden), to whom he was sealed on May 2, 2006, in the Manti, UT Temple, his parents Frederick and Nanci Cox of Sutton, MA, brothers Jonathan (Rebecca) of Provo, UT, Matthew, Patrick, and Daniel of Sutton, MA, grandparents Frederick and Marjorie Cox of Medford, MA. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, 3 nephews and a niece. Adam was preceeded in death by his maternal grandparents Robert and Effie Harrington. His extended family through marriage includes his mother-in-law Becky Bearden (GA), father-in-law Tony Bearden (FL), siblings Julie (Chris) Black (Provo), Josh (Karol) Bearden (MD), Amanda (Drew) Cremeans (WA), Adam, Becca, and Matt Bearden (FL). Adam graduated from Sutton High School in 2001. He attended BYU before and after serving an honorable mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the France Toulouse Mission from 2002 to 2004. He had been employed as an alarms monitor supervisor/911 dispatcher for the BYU Police Dept. since , 2005, while attending BYU and UVSC. Adam recently completed his CPAT test in preparation to enter the Fire Academy. He had previously been employed as a substitute teacher in the Sutton Middle and High Schools. As faithful members of the Pleasant View 9th Ward, Adam and Melissa served together as primary teachers. Adams hobbies included playing with his niece, nephews, and cousins, restoring his 72 VW Beetle, rockclimbing, and spending time with his family. He was a licensed HAM radio operator and an active member of the Timpanogos Emergency Response Team (TERT). Adam found great joy in being with his wife Melissa, in living the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in serving others, and in loving all children. His family is grateful for the time he was allowed to be with them. services will be held , 21, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. in the Pleasant View 9th Ward meetinghouse, 2445 N 650E Provo, UT. Obituary: Shirley Muirl Healey Cowser Shirley Muirl Healey Cowser, 84, was called home to her Heavenly Father on May 8, 2008. A heavenly reunion with her family and loved ones will be her Mothers Day gift this year. Shirley was born on 10, 1923, in Salt Lake City, Utah, as the third of ten children of Richard Winn and Margretta Stephens Healey. living briefly in Bingham Canyon, Shirley grew up in Alpine, Utah. She graduated from American Fork High School in 1941. During World War II she transferred to the Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she met her future husband, Bill Cowser. the war ended, Shirley married Bill in Salt Lake City in 1946. were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple in , 1953. Because of her husbands employment with Union Carbide, Shirley moved with him numerous times. first lived briefly in West Virginia, then in Texas, and then in southern California. Bills assignment to the International Division of Union Carbide in 1961, Shirley and her family lived in Australia (twice), Sweden, Belgium, and Brazil. Shirley loved to travel and see for herself the many places she had read about. She willingly supported her husbands career, following him from country to country and making a comfortable home wherever they happened to be. Shirley loved to read from the time she was a child and she encouraged her children to be readers. She was an excellent cook and a wonderful hostess, and she opened her home for countless dinners for business associates, church members and missionaries. Shirley bravely adapted to new cultures and languages, serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints wherever she lived. She had many opportunities for missionary work throughout her life, and she always loved sharing the gospel. Shirley loved music and had a beautiful voice; she was always singing. She eagerly took advantage of their time in Europe to expose her children to as many of the cultural offerings as possible. In 1978, Bill and Shirley were called to preside over the mission in Auckland, New Zealand. This was one of the choice experiences of their life. their mission, they settled in Orem, Utah. later served another senior couples mission to Recife, Brazil from 1991 to 1993. Shirley is survived by her beloved and faithful husband of 61 years, Bill, and her children: Cathi and Val Stewart, Jane and Philip Bunker, Bruce and Teresa Cowser, Linda and Michael Patch, and Stephen and Kelly Cowser; twenty-two grandchildren; and thirty-four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters and two brothers, Veloy Stagg, Kaye Howell, and David and Dick Healey. Preceded in death by three brothers, Reece, Steven, and Bob Healey, and two sisters, Elaine Pollock and Carol Sumsion. services will be held on , May 12, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Cherry Hill 9th Ward, 147 East 2000 South, Orem Utah. Family and friends are invited to a viewing on , May 11, from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson , 646 East 800 North in Orem and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Obituary: Dennis Lowe Cowlishaw 1941 ~ 2010 Dennis Lowe Cowlishaw, age 68, died 24, 2010 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born 13, 1941 to Bert and Mary Cowlishaw in Salt Lake. He married Marcia K. Cowlishaw and they were married for 51 years. He is survived by his beloved wife Marcia, sons, Kelly (Sue), Gordon, and daughter Sandra; brothers, Larry (Rayma), Mark-deceased; grandchildren, Kristi (Dave), Mary (Andrew), Dennis, Darell, Tarl; and four great-grandchildren.
