Obituary: Dale Wheeler Conway 1927-2014 Our beloved father Dale Wheeler Conway, 86, passed away 4, 2014. He was born in Los Angeles on 3, 1927 to Hugh and Josephine Wheeler Conway. He graduated from East High School in Salt Lake City. He served his country with valor in the Korean War and was awarded the Bronze Star. Our dad was a great man who befriended many and cared for all. He was, among other things, a world-class poker player, a nationally ranked tennis player, and an all-around sports enthusiast. His boundless love for his family will never be forgotten. Dale is survived by his children Colleen Duffy, Scott Conway (Sue), Michael Conway (Valeen), Mike Adam Conway, Brion Conway (Rebecca), Dotty Riley, and David Conway (Tim); 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert and Hugh, and grandsons Steven and Shane Duffy. A celebration of Dales life will be held , 12, 2014 at 12:00 noon at the William E. Christoffersen Salt Lake Veterans , 700 S. Foothill Drive (enter Salt Lake VA campus from Foothill at Mario Capecchi Dr). Obituary: JAMES CONTI 1917-2015 Magna, UT - Our beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather, James Conti, 97, died peacefully at home on 11, 2015. He was born 8, 1917 in Ragtown, Utah (Ragtown was the small mining community that is now buried under several millions tons of rock where the Kennecott Copper tailings pond currently exists). He was born to Tony and Helen Conti. He graduated from Cyprus High School in 1935. He married Geniel Park in 1955. Dad was a life-long member of the Catholic Church. He worked for Kennecott Copper as a machinist for 44 years. He loved to work on cars, motorcycles, lawn mowers - you name it. With his vast skills, and ingenious innovative thinking, he could fix it or build it, regardless of what it was. As he stands now before God, he can truly say I have used all of the talents during my lifetime that you gave me to the best of my ability with your guidance and generosity. Dad was a man of his word who could be counted on - a characteristic that all remember him for. He was an honest man and his children learned by his example to be honest, hard working and to exhibit integrity during his life. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. James is survived by his wife of 59 years, Geniel; four children, Shauna (Scott) Beckwith, Jim Conti, Cheri (Mike) Mills and Ron ( ) Conti; brothers, Lawrence and Ernie Conti; grandchildren, Jared and Michael Mills, Stuart and Shandi Beckwith, and Staci and Danny Conti; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, a brother, Danny Conti, and sisters, Lydia Montoya and Jean Snow. A viewing will be held on , 18, 2015 at the Peel , 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, Utah from 10:00 am-12 noon, followed by a graveside service at 12:30 pm at the Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 W. 4100 S. She was born May 22, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John William and Ida Ruby Woolsey Park. Geniel graduated from Murray High School. She married James Conti 26, 1955. Geniel was a member of the Catholic Church. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her husband of 59 ½ years died on 11, 2015 exactly 6 months to the day of Geniels passing. She was a loving mother and focused on her family while being a fun grandma to her grandchildren.
