Obituary: Thelma Bowen Christmas, 90, passed away , 16, 2008, at home from complications arising from surgery. Thelma was born 22, 1918 in Spanish Fork, Utah to John H. and Catherine Ann Christensen Bowen. She married Reed Christmas 7, 1949. Thelma was educated in Spanish Fork schools, graduated from Spanish Fork High School, and LDS Seminary, and attended Brigham Young University. She worked for First Security Bank and the Utah Valley and Spanish Fork Livestock Auctions. Thelma was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her husband, Reed, Spanish Fork, UT; a son Robert (Jean Staheli) Christmas of Salem UT . A granddaughter Michelle (Bill) Christensen, three great grandchildren, Corbin, Jesse, Swazey of Payson, UT; a special niece, Lisa (Reed) Turner and family, Josh, Luke, Emma, Sadie of Spanish Fork, UT; and a special nephew, Mark (Amy Anderson) Christmas and family, Tyler, Sam, Seth and Kaitlynn of Spanish Fork, UT. Thelma is also survived by a sister- in-law, Joy Christmas of Lake Shore, UT; and a nephew, Alan (Armeda) Christmas of Provo, UT.; and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, John H. and Catherine Ann Bowen; sisters, Loa Bowen and Jenny Hatch; brothers-in-law Rex Christmas, Leon Christmas, and Richard Hatch; and nephews, John Hatch and Lynn Christmas; and a niece LuAnn Christmas Mickesell Thelma was a kind and loving person who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on , 19th at the Palmyra Stake 4th Ward building at 400 North 393 East, Spanish Fork. Obituary: Linda Kaye Davis Christison passed away on 23, 2014 in West Valley City, Utah from complications of COPD. Born 22, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Howard E. and Ruth E. Killpack Ivey Davis. Linda was the oldest of two children. Linda married Richard D. Christison in Salt Lake City, Utah on 16, 1957, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She was a member of the LDS church and she served in many positions before her health deteriorated. She had a strong testimony and deep love for her Savior. She also had a great love for her country and American history. Linda had compassion for the Native American people and their culture, always lending much support to their organizations and schools. The most important thing in her life was her family and friends. Linda was very attentive to the needs of all those around her. Even with her health struggles, she never missed a special occasion for her grandchildren. She was always a great listener and conversationalist. You could count on Linda for great advice. Survived by her husband, Richard (Dick) of West Valley City, sons, Glenn, Jeffrey (Leana), Michael (Dayna), Chase ( ), special nephew Jonathon Davis, 19 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents and her brother Glenn (John) Davis. services will be held on , 30, 2014 at 11:00 AM. A visitation will be held on , 29, 2014 from 6-8 PM and from 10-10:45 AM prior to funeral services on 30. Obituary: Jacob Grant Christianson 1986-2012 Jake was born on 28, 1986 to Jay Christianson and Deb Oberndorfer. He was the youngest of three and was loved so much by his brother, Jayson, and his sister, Jennie. He was born a free spirit and passed away a free spirit on May 17, 2012. His life was never without excitement, twists and turns and adventures. In his short lifetime, hes been an artist, a writer, a poet, an animal lover, a people lover, and a friend to all. He was destined to touch as many people as he could in a positive way, always helping, never judging and always loving. As he said, all I want to do is be there for others. I think there is no higher purpose. He believed in three things: love, laughter, and life itself. His life was full of adventure, love, sadness, chaotic times, peaceful times, many trials and many successes. Because of his challenges, Jake felt more things, more deeply; had more experiences, more intensely; loved more, and been more loved; laughed more often for having cried more often; appreciated more the springs, for all the winters . . . run faster, thought faster and loved faster than most I know. –Kay Redfield Jamison Jake is survived by his father and stepmother, Jay and Robin Christianson, mother and stepfather, Deb and Reed Oberndorfer, his brother, Jayson (Danielle), sister, Jennie (Chris), stepbrother, Josh (Ellie), stepsister, Jenibeth (Matthew), and his beautiful nephews, Hunter, Johnny, Evan; and nieces, Caitlin and Kymberlyn; cousins , uncles and aunts, and his very special grandfather, Wally, and step grandmother, Beth; and of course his dog and best friend, Tucket.
