Obituary: Ray A. Cook, 69, of Corinth, Texas formally of Higginson passed away , 15th at his residence. He was born in Laporte, Indiana to the late James and Ruby A. Cook. Ray was a United States Air Force Veteran where he served his country in the Vietnam War. Ray retired from Wal-Mart Distribution after 28 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be missed. Ray is survived by his wife of 36 years, Shirley (Johnson) Cook; one son, Tony Crotzer and wife Nicole of Flower Mound, Texas; one daughter, Tammy Foster and husband, Ed of Kensett, Arkansas; one grandson, Adrian Crotzer; two brothers, Utah Cook of Searcy, Arkansas, and Dee Cook of Wichita Falls, Texas; two sisters, and Barbara Duncan of Searcy, Arkansas, and Mildred J. White of Searcy. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruby A. Cook. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. , 18th at Searcy-McEuen . Obituary: Randy Earl Cook lost his year-long battle with cancer on , 14, 2017, at the age of 60. He died peacefully in his home. Randy was born on 23, 1956 in Shawnee, OK, to Melvin and Etta Mae Cook. In 1970, the family relocated to Grand Prairie, TX. Randy graduated from Grand Prairie High School, class of 1975. At the age of 19, Randy joined the United States Air Force, and his daughter, Christina, was born shortly after. During his service, Randy graduated summa cum laude from Northern Michigan University. He was released from active duty in 1980, and he returned to Grand Prairie. Randy married Coni Thorne on 14, 1985. Together, they raised three children. Randy worked at Touche Ross and Republic National Bank in Dallas before opening Randy E. Cook Co., CPA, a private accounting practice. Randy worked tirelessly, and he was dedicated to providing the best service possible to his clients. He enjoyed working in real estate, making bows and arrows and purchasing cars on eBay. Randy was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare, bile duct cancer, in 2016. He is survived by his wife, Coni; his parents, Melvin and Etta Mae; and his brother, Ray. He also leaves behind his children and their spouses, Christina and Adrian Gomez, Forrest and Meaghan Cook, and Hannah Cook and Brady Dewan; five grandchildren, Gage, Jett, Jayden, Dexter and Vada; and a large extended family.
