Obituary: Novella Yvonne Miller Comparin, 85, of Fort Worth passed away peacefully on , Aug. 26, 2015, after a long illness. : 2 p.m. at Moore . Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: Noon to service time at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of choice. Novella was born May 1, 1930 in Chickasha, Okla., to John and Reva Miller. She was a loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was dedicated to serving her family. On 17, 1950, she wed Louis Comparin, who preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 2010. Novella earned a bachelor of science degree from Texas Wesleyan in 1964 and a master's degree from Texas Woman's University in 1979. She began teaching in the Fort Worth Independent School District in 1964 and taught at East Handley, Atwood McDonald, Meadowbrook elementary schools and retired from Bill Elliot Elementary School in 1999. The students were such a joy to her. Novella was active in various teacher organizations, Central Meadowbrook Neighborhood Assn., Citizens on Patrol, and the Methodist Church. Survivors: Novella is survived by children, John Comparin and his wife, Joanne, Tony Comparin and his wife, Debbi, and Cynthia Comparin and her husband, Denny Alberts. Also surviving her are grandchildren, MaryAnn Jones, Angelina Walker, Cashen Beam, Joe Comparin and Jenna Comparin; and six great-grandchildren. |

Obituary: .Lawrence Robert Comparin was welcomed into heaven, at the age of 56, on , 24, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with Leukemia. Larrys greatest joy was his family. Larrys best friend and greatest supporter, was his wife of 24 years, JNell. Larry and JNell were blessed with three precious children-Jordan, Jacqueline, and Miles. Larry considered his children his greatest accomplishment and his faith his greatest treasure. Larry has been an active member of Second Baptist Church for the past 26 years. Larry and JNell were married at Second Baptist Church, and have continued to raise their children in that church home with the support of cherished friends. Larry had a passion for running! Larry began running at the age of 11. From that point forward, running was a trait that defined Larry. Larry ran competitively throughout middle school and college, and continued to run up until four days before he was admitted to MD Anderson. Some of Larrys running successes include completing five New York Marathons, five Houston Marathons, as well as hundreds of races throughout his life. For many years, Larry was a volunteer for the Houston Marathon Elite Runners. Larry loved to coach his childrens sports teams, and encouraged his children to achieve their goals whether on or off the field. Larry was a firm believer that athletics build strength, discipline and character, which are all important tools for life. Larry always encouraged those around him to strive for excellence and to give the glory to God. Larry lived out this example for his children, and others to witness. Larry was born May 11, 1954, in Ironwood, Michigan. Larry was the son of Audrey Katherine Miles and Kenneth Joseph Comparin. He grew up in Ironwood, Michigan. Larry holds a degree in business from Gogebic in Michigan and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. completing his education, Larry moved to Houston where he accepted a position as a Director with the Houston Parks and Recreation Department. Larry was the founder and president of Metropolitan Cleaning in Houston, Texas since 1992. Integrity, honesty and Christian ethics were the cornerstones of his business. Larry considered many of his business associates and clients dear friends. These friendships brought him much joy, laughter, and many wonderful memories over the years. Larry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, JNell Hargrave Comparin; daughters Jordan Lindsay Comparin, and Jacqueline Lauren Comparin; son Miles Barrett Comparin; brother Patrick Joseph Comparin and wife Lori Comparin; sisters Marguerite Comparin Jarcynska and husband Gerald, and Marie Comparin Maki and husband Thomas; and several nieces and nephews: Megan Jarcynska, Ashley Comparin, Luke Jarcynska, Patrick J. Comparin, Paul Jarcynska, Nicholas Maki, and Ryan Maki. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a custodial savings account established for the Comparin children. Obituary: James Compare was born in San Diego, California on 9th, 1976 to proud parents James Compare Sr. & Joevanna Brice-Compare. James received his primary education from the San Diego Public Schools, he attended Lincoln Sigh School & Gompers JR/SR High School but ultimately received his GED from M&T Corporation. James accepted Christ at an early age and during his formative years he was active member of the Mt. Erie Missionary Baptist Church, where his served various capacities including President of the Junior Brotherhood. During James matriculation in San Diego he met the love of his life Monique Bosley. The couple married on 12, 1999 and though that union they were blessed with two sons (James & Tyrae) the union dissolved years later but their love for their two sons only increased. He then made the decision to join his mother and other family member in Colorado City, TX until the time of translation to heaven. While in Colorado City he worked diligently for the Fuller Food to be a provider for those he cared for. James was a very loving person and through that love he was blessed with five more children. On the spring day of May 29, 2015 James Compare was promoted from labor to reward. He is preceded in death by his Grandmothers (who he loved dearly)- Mary Ella Compare, & Mary Alice Brice, Aunts- Rosemary Rhone & Audrey Brice, Uncle - Wayon Foster Brice.
