Obituary: Randy Coker passed away on 10, 2015. He was born 8, 1943, and lived his entire life in Corpus Christi, Texas and surrounding areas. He was a proud graduate of W. B. Ray High School in 1962. Randy had a passion for cars since his first driver license and later developed the same passion for boats as well as a wide range of knowledge and love for 50s music. Randy, a Master Electrician, was for years a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a member of National Electrical Contractors Association and served many years on the Electricians Apprenticeship Committee in the 1970s and 80s. He began working as an electrician as a teenager and until his retirement he owned Nelson Electric . He loved his friends and family and will be deeply missed. He was known for his competitive spirit, his creative and fun nature, and enjoying time with his many friends. Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Randall and Thelmarie Shellenberger Coker. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Lynda Coker; sons, Jimmy (Kelly) Oliver, Benny Coker; stepdaughters, Tammy Anaya, Tonya (Lance) Fabian, TC (Tim) Hembree; 9 grandchildren, Lindsey, Julie and Camrie Oliver, Kristopher Coker, Will Taylor, Austin and Alex Fabian, and Katy and Cheyenne Hembree. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on , 14, 2015 at Seaside Reid Chapel with a Memorial Service to be held at 2:00 p.m. the same afternoon. Randy will be buried next to his father and mother at Seaside Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Craig Hill, Russ Cooper, Pete Bell, Dwain Jarman, Rick Brown, and Scott Knight. |
