Obituary: Judith Marie Cockerham, native of Baton Rouge and 20-year resident of Houston, passed quietly at MD Anderson Cancer surrounded by family on 2, 2015 at age 59. Judith "Judy" is preceded in death by her father Robert "Bob" Cockerham and is survived by her husband John Weigle, son Carlos Rosario and wife Pam, daughter Jessica Rosario, her mother Reda Cockerham, and brothers Tony Cockerham and wife Jeannine, Larry Cockerham and wife Theresa, and grandchildren Joshua, Taylor, Julia, Livia, Kane, and Ryanne ranging in age from 17 years to 18 months. She graduated from Redemptorist High School in 1974 and completed 2 years of college at American International University. Judith is a veteran of the U.S. Army and served as a clerk in the 35th Signal Brigade stationed at Darmstadt Army Base near Frankfurt Germany in the mid-1970s. Judith's career in the mortgage industry spanned 35 years in positions ranging from Processor to Vice President. She was co-owner of Professional Mortgage Services (PMS) in Baton Rouge from 1989 to 1995. moving to Houston in 1996 she worked as a Loan Officer in the Galleria office of Chase, in the Mortgage Division of the Private Bank at JP Morgan, and latest as Senior Lending Officer at Houston Capital Mortgage. For Judith, family came first. She loved cooking and wine and gathering with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and looked forward to yearly summer vacations with her children and grandchildren. She collected antiques from the art deco period and enjoyed decorating. Judith will be remembered as loving, generous, courageous, uncompromising, and as a mentor willing to help those who were willing to help themselves. Visitation will be at Greenoaks in Baton Rouge from 5 to 9 PM on , 11, 2015. Visitation will continue on , 12, 2015, at 9 AM until Mass at 11 AM at St. Alphonsus Ligouri in Greenwell Springs. Though never a smoker and otherwise healthy, Judith succumbed to lung cancer discovered as the result of a sudden, persistent cough only one month before her death. Her family exhorts everyone to consult their physician and include a chest X-ray in their health and wellness regimen. Obituary: services for David Cockerham, 76, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. , May 14, 2015, at Allan Fuller Chapel in Wills Point with Rev. Johnny Herriage officiating. Interment will follow at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton. He passed away early morning, May 11, 2015, at his residence in Wills Point. David was born on 12, 1938, in the Hayden Community south of Wills Point, the son of Henry Benjamin Cockerham and Ada Elizabeth Cooper Cockerham. He was raised in the Hayden Community and graduated from Wills Point High School. David later attended Henderson Junior in Athens and East Texas State University in Commerce. He was a veteran of the United States Marines. On 30, 1959, he married Virginia Nichols in Las Vegas, Nevada. David was employed by General Motors in Arlington and Texas Instruments in Dallas. For twenty-seven years, he was employed by the Wills Point I.S.D., where he was a 7th and 8th grade math teacher, retiring in 1994 and a school bus driver for 30 years. He enjoyed raising cattle, gardening and fishing. David was a member of the Wills Point Masonic Lodge #422 and was on the Board of Directors for the MacBee Water System. He was a member of Hayden Baptist Church south of Wills Point, where he was School teacher for the Mens Class for over thirty years and also had served as a Deacon. Preceded in death by his parents, Henry Benjamin and Ada Elizabeth Cockerham; five brothers, Harold, Naville, Jack, Eugene and John Cockerham and two sisters, Judy Forester and Elizabeth Morrison. David is survived by his wife, Virginia Cockerham, of Wills Point; four sons, Rusty Cockerham, of Wills Point, Kirt Cockerham & wife, Jackie, of Wills Point, Joey Cockerham & wife, Kristin, of Austin and Chris Cockerham & wife, Melissa, of Clemmons, North Carolina; two sisters, Helen Neill & husband, John, of Wills Point and Betty Furrh & husband, Ted, of Mesquite; sister-in-law, Bernice Cockerham, of Tyler and four grandchildren, Jacob Cockerham, Garrett Cockerham, Elizabeth Cockerham and Emily Cockerham. He was always attentive to the needs of others. He never waited to be asked for help, he saw a need and acted selflessly. His passions in life were the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was an avid collector of many things. Danny was a warm, gentle, and caring person who was gifted with children. He loved his dogs and birds. His passing has deeply saddened all who love him. Obituary: Brenda Cockerham, age 55, left this world the night of May 13th, 2014 after a courageous 11 year war with Ovarian Cancer. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was born in Houston, TX at Heights Hospital, 11th, 1958 and spent her childhood years in and around Nacogdoches, TX and Houston, TX. Although she lived many years suffering from the pain, she never let it take the life out of her. She continued to look after her husband, Butch, and guide her three children with her honest and wise advice. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time teaching and caring for her two grandchildren, Andrew and David. She spent her entire life devoted to caring for others. She began as a girl helping with her siblings, then moved into the medical field as a young woman, and then onto helping to teach and setup conferences for doctors at one of Houstons premier hospitals. She lived a very full life of loving and caring for others, all the while putting herself second to others. She will be deeply missed by her family and loved ones, but her daily pain and suffering has finally ceased. She is preceded in death by her father- Charles Mosley, mother- Louise Mosley, brother- Jerry Mosley, brother-in-law- David Cockerham, and father-in-law- John Young.
