Obituary: James Loranzy Clement, age 89, of Carrollton, TX passed away , 31, 2011. Born 22, 1922 in Mena, Arkansas to James and Caddie Cook Clement. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy during World War II. James owned and operated James Clements Hairstyling in Carrollton for over 20 years. He was a member, a deacon and trustee of the First Christian Church in Carrollton for 59 years. He enjoyed dancing and was a charter member of the Dixie Chainers for 21 years and a charter member of the Carrollton Dance Club and the Farmers Branch Dance Club. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maxine Joyce (Plunkett) Clement in 2008. James is survived by two daughters, Angella Woodard of San Antonio, TX and Darla (Joe) Jarvis of Mt. Pleasant, SC; five grandchildren, Byron, Rachel and Leah Woodard and Amanda and Austin Jarvis; and two brothers, George and Newton Clement. Services will be , 6, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church (1835 Walnut St., Carrollton, TX 75006). Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. , 7th in Pleasant Grove , Cove, Arkansas. Memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church. Obituary: Jackie, as she was known to all, was a 1950 graduate of Pickering High School going on to Business School at LSU in Baton Rouge. She worked for Kelly Weber several years then went on to work with Federal Civil Service, following her husband Van in the service. She later worked at Barksdale Air Force Base where she raised her three children and then retired in , 1993 as a Defense Accounting Officer. retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her children, and spoiling her grand-children; which she did well. She moved to New Llano, La in 2001, where she lived for 13 years, and looked forward to vacationing with her 2 sisters every summer. Her love of flowers, yard work and gardening, was an important part of her retirement years. In the year of 2013, Jackies health began to fail and she moved to Spring, Tx to live with Robin and Julie. Jackie, was 83 years of age being the 6th of 10 children born 9, 1932 to the union of Ursula Cryer Midkiff and Lonzie Midkiff. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Jake Midkiff, Louise Cryer, Shortie Hinson Eaves, Eva Dean Baggett, and brothers L. Reid Midkiff, Kermit Midkiff and Donald Midkiff. Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Barbara Vander Knippers (Ronnie Knippers) of San Antonio, Tx. , sons Richard Vander (Debbie) of Rosepine, La. and Robin Vander (Julie) of Spring, Tx., 2 sisters, Sudie L. Stephens, Lafayette, La and Comalea (Bea) Smart, (Charles) Anacoco, La., 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; who loved her dearly and whom she also dearly loved; and many nieces, nephews (and) greats. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. Jackies desire to know all of her family, including siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and greats, resulted in special relationships and love for all. Jackie was a very special, unique person, always with a smile and an encouraging word; loved dearly in life and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was highly respected in her work force and in everyday life. A special thanks to the funeral home staff, family and friends who have lifted this family up in prayer, called or sent a card. Born in San Bernardino, California, she graduated from Franklin , Indiana, and returned to California where she married Jack William Clement, her devoted husband of 58 years. Obituary: Andy Lewis Clement, 98, of Clardy, passed away , 14, 2014. Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. , Nov. 17th, at Bright-Holland with Dr. L. C. Stout & Rev. Jody VanDeaver officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove . The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Mr. Clement, the son of Robert “Bob” and Betty Anderson Clement, was born 20, 1916, in Clardy. He was a retired carpenter and farmer. Mr. Clement was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church for many years. Survivors include his wife, Louise Williams Clement, whom he married on 31, 1942, in DeQueen, AR, building 72 years of family and memories, twin children, Betty Winters & husband Bobby of Clardy and Andy Clement & wife Hiromi of Arcadia, CA, grandchildren, Kim Carlow & husband Clayton of Clardy, Kip Winters, Wes Winters and Doug Winters, great grandchildren, Kolbie Carlow, Morgan, Mitch, Morita, Gracie, Brodie, Colton and Tiffany Winters along numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Roy Clement & Dugan Clement and 2 sisters, Eva King & Peggy Evans.
