Obituary: Bonnie T. Clampitt, of Midland, passed away , 9, 2010. Bonnie was born 19, 1925 in Merkel, Texas to William and Emma McAninch. She graduated from Merkel High School and attended North Texas State Teachers . Bonnie met and then married William Edwards Clampitt on 13, 1947 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Bonnie worked at Sears, J.C. Penney, Dunlaps and at the First National Bank where she worked from 1974 to 1984 until she retired. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Emma McAnnich, and eleven brothers and sisters. Bonnie is survived by her husband, William Edwards Clampitt; daughter, Paula McKinney and husband Mark McKinney of Midland; son, Paul Clampitt and wife Linda Clampitt of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Matt McKinney of Dallas, TX; Jordan Clampitt of Plano, TX and Bailey Clampitt of Plano, TX; and several in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Ellis , 12, 2010 between the hours of 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. services have been scheduled for 1:00 P.M. , 13, 2010 at the First Baptist Church with Reverend David Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. are under the direction of Ellis . Condolences may be offered at www.ellisfunerals.com. Obituary: Clennie Clampit, 89, of Deer Park, passed away , 22, 2014. She was born in Ladelle, Arkansas on 1, 1925 to her parents Ancy and Minnie Burch. Clennie had 7 brothers and sisters whose names are Billy Burch, Freeman Burch, her twin sister Winnie Varnell, Mary Graham, Della Thomas, Maycel Stubbs and survived by sister Ancy Mae McKiever. Clennie was married to the late JC Clampit born 1923-2006. JC and Clennie shared a lifetime together. knew each other from childhood, attended the same schools, eventually graduating from Drew Central High and married in 1943. JC and Clennie, shortly after graduating, moved from Arkansas to Houston then relocated to Deer Park in 1955 where they made their permanent residence to begin raising their 3 children, Freda, Roland, and Randall. Clennie worked for Southwestern Bell until she decided to stay home full time as a housewife and raise their children. Throughout her life she enjoyed doll making, cooking, sewing, and taking walks with JC. She also was a long term member of the Baptist community. She also loved watching sports. She and JC would attend high school basketball and volleyball games regularly and she also enjoyed watching the Rockets and Astros play. As her family expanded, Clennie loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, her face would light up every time she would see them. Clennie Clampit is survived by her children and their spouses, Freda and Ken Hasten; Roland and Cathy Clampit; Randall and Lara Clampit. Along with grandchildren Landon and Chase; Risa and Rachelle; Shannon, Shelby, Nicole, and Alecia. She is also survived by many great grandchildren who all love her dearly. Visitation will be held on , 24, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Grand View , 8501 Spencer Hyw., Pasadena, Texas 77505. service will be held on , 25, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Grand View . Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park. |
