Obituary: Larry Wayne Chumley, 63, of Pollok, Texas, passed away 19, 2015 at his residence in Pollok. He was born 22, 1952 in Longview to Gerald H. and Catherine Rose Chumley. Larry spent the majority of his life in the care of his family and various state supported schools. He was definitely loved by his family and those that cared for him. He enjoyed receiving gifts, listening to his music, wearing rings, watches, and ties, no matter what kind of shirt he happened to be wearing. He especially enjoyed visiting. Whether it was with family, friends or the staff at the school, he enjoyed sharing his time and his stories with others. Larry is survived by his brother: Steve Chumley and his wife Diane of Cypress, TX; niece: Amy Welch and her husband Richard of Tatum, TX; nephew: Phillip Chumley and his wife Ashley of Plano, TX; niece Candice Rodriquez an her husband Tony of Lincoln, NE; as well as a number of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Galyon Frank Chumley. Obituary: Joe Chumlea, D.D.S., born Nov. 9, 1920, in Stamford to Luna Dulaney Chumlea and Arthur Basil Chumlea, was raised to eternal life on , 15, 2013. Memorial service: 2 p.m. at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 10th and Lamar, Fort Worth. Memorials: The family requests memorials be made to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. He graduated from Polytechnic High School, Fort Worth; N.T.A.C. in Arlington (now UTA); and the University of Texas Dental School in Houston. Joe was a Navy lieutenant during World War II and served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Antietam. During the war, he courted and then married the love of his life, Nelsie Jayne Love, in San Francisco, Calif., in 1945. the war, they returned home to Fort Worth where Joe began an almost 50-year dental practice. His first dental office was in the old Medical Arts Building adjacent to Burnett Plaza downtown. He later practiced on Bailey Avenue, then on Hulen Street, south of Arlington Heights High School. Joe was the dentist to so many loving patients throughout Fort Worth. Joe and Nelsie moved to the Ridglea Hills neighborhood when it was first developed in the early 1950s, where they raised four children: three sons, Cameron, Philip and Joseph; and a daughter, Alice Meyer, all of whom survive him. Joe and Nelsie loved family vacations to wonderful destinations like Yellowstone; the Grand Canyon; the entire south, including civil-war battlefields in Virginia, Tennessee, and Natchez; and Mexico City/Taxco/Acapulco, to name a few. Joe loved bird hunting on his "farm" near Possum Kingdom and all of his hunting pals, including Scranton, Bob, Scott, Bill and John. Joe dutifully attended St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, where he served in numerous lay ministries. He loved the Lord and now, finally, sees him face to face. Joe is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Anne Chumlea Portlock (Derek), Robert Chumlea, Caroline Chumlea Havey (Jonathan), Charlotte Chumlea, Matthew Chumlea (Denise), Megan Chumlea Gallagher (Scott), Grant Chumlea, Austin Denny (Tiffany), Allison Denny (Matt), and Arthur Denny; and five great-grandchildren, Will, Adam, Ryan, Elise and Molly. Joe was much loved by family, friends, patients and all who knew him. We have special appreciation for those who lovingly cared for Joe these last few years, including Joyce, Kathy and Allison. Obituary: Ruby Louise Chumchall, 86, born to Harry and Willie Mae Holton in Houston, Texas, passed away May 13, 2011 in Houston. She was a lifelong resident of the Houston Heights, graduated from Reagan High School, and worked for many years for Gordons Jewelers. Obituary: Bernice Bertha Blume Chumchal, 94, short 20 days of age 95, passed away night, 16, 2014, in the Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. , 26 at Forest Park Westheimer in Houston. Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. , 27 at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, with the Rev. Eddie Winkler officiating. Music Ministers are Brenda and Frank Petras. Graveside services/burial will follow at the Shiner Catholic . Pallbearers are Larry Blume (godson and nephew), Chad Nelson (grandson), David Nitsch Jr. (grandson), David Nitsch Sr. (son-in-Law), Dr. Zac Smith (husband of granddaughter), and Zachary Smith Jr. (great-grandson). Honorary pallbearers are Bradley Blume (nephew) and Frank Petras (a godson and nephew). She was born 6, 1919 in the Vlastenec community of Shiner, to the late Louis and Ida Blume. She was baptized on Oct. 5, 1919, in Dr. Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Shiner. She attended the Michna country school, Alamo Beauty in San Antonio and became a licensed beautician in 1939. She opened the Blue Room Beauty shop in Nordheim and later moved the shop to Runge, Texas. She married husband Emil Robert Chumchal in the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Runge, Texas, Aug. 14, 1945, after Emil was released from WWII Army duty. In 1946, they moved to Houston, where Emil worked in the furniture business and Bernice became a mother of three and housewife. She spent many years walking her neighborhood marketing Avon products. Upon their retirement, they moved back to their hometown of Shiner in , 1977, to enjoy retirement. She was a member of the Sts. Cyril and Methodius Parish Altar Society, Catholic Daughters and Our Lady of Fatima Association. She was a member and served as an officer for the VFW Auxiliary for many years and won many awards for her scrapbooks, which she also made for the local schools and charities. Bernice left behind many loving and caring nephews and nieces. Special thanks to all the people too numerous to name for all the support of Bernice and the family. Survivors include one daughter, Diana M. Nitsch of Houston; one son, Emil John Chumchal, Jr. of Houston; her only sibling brother, Clarence Blume and wife Vernita of Shiner; eight grandchildren, David M. Nitsch, Jr., Cassandra Smith, Chad and Robert Nelson, Emily, Joseph, Noah, and Camille Chumchal; and nine great-grandchildren, Zachary, Jr., Madlyn, SaraGrace and Sadie Smith; Zane and Bree Nitsch; Elijah and Ezra Andrews; Savannah Giambrone.
