Obituary: Rosemarie E. Chronister was born on 6, 1956 in San Antonio, TX. Rosemarie was born to her Mother Charline and her Father Robert E. Chronister. graduating high school, Rosemarie went on to join the Air Force and was stationed in the Philippines. she was honorably discharged from the Air Force, Rosie went on to attend college. She worked at the Gage Hotel in Marathon, TX and graduated from Sul Ross State University with a Bachelor of Science. In the early nineties, Rosemarie was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and moved back to Plano to be close to her parents. She volunteered at First United Methodist Church in Plano and at the Harrington Library where she was recognized as volunteer of the month with her work for the literacy program. Rosemarie loved animals, reading, and doing her beadwork. Rosemarie passed away on 26, 2017. Rosemarie is survived by her mother Charline, as well as her sister; Roberta Dancer, and her husband Don. Rosemarie also leaves behind her nieces Misty Groetken, and her husband Nick, and Kristi Weston, and her husband Shelby of Edmond, OK, as well as their children: Kayla and Grant Groetken and Kennedy, Cash, and Crue Weston. Rosemarie is also survived by her Uncle, Dr. Bert Chronister, and his wife Rochelle, of Neodesha, KS along with her cousins Pam Lewis and Philip Chronister. There will be a Memorial Service on , 6h at 11 AM at the Ted Dickey on 18th Street in Plano with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (nationalmsociety.org). |

Obituary: Robert E. Chronister was born on 5, 1928 in Abilene, KS. Robert was born to his Mother Ethel and his Father Everett Chronister. Robert went on to join the Air Force where he achieved the ranking of Staff Sergeant. he was honorably discharged from the Air Force, Robert went on to attend some college. During this time, Robert met and married the love of his life, his wife Charline. Together they spent 67 years together before Robert passed away on 28, 2015. Robert loved his job. He was able to carry his training over from the Air Force and he worked with radios and radio communications. Robert also loved the numerous animals that he and Charline cared for, as well as getting the opportunity to work in his yard and take some quiet time to read. Robert is survived by his wife Charline, as well as his daughters and their spouses; Roberta Dancer, and her husband Don, and Rosemarie Chronister. Robert also leaves behind his Granddaughters Misty Groetken, and her husband Nick, and Kristi Weston, and her husband Shelby, as well as his Great Grandchildren: Kayla and Grant Groetken and Kennedy, Cash, and Crue Weston. Robert is also survived by his Brother, Dr. Bert Chronister, and his wife Rochelle, of Neodesha, KS, along with his niece Pam Lewis, and her husband Jeff and step-son Dustin, and nephew Philip Chronister, and wife RaNee and son Peyden. A visitation will be held for Robert on from 6-8 PM at Ted Dickey with a Committal Service on morning at 9 AM at the Plano Mutual and a Memorial Service at the First United Methodist Church of Plano at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the First United Methodist Church Youth Choir or to the American Cancer Society. |

Obituary: Ivan Lee Chron 78 of Marble Falls, formerly of Ralls, Texas, passed away 12, 2017. He was born to Virgil and Nellie Chron, on Nov. 21, 1938. He married his high school sweetheart, Della Sue Robinson Chron, in 1957. Ivan joined the Navy at age 17. He loved to travel and went many places. He loved fishing and family time was his favorite. He loved to make people laugh and had a ton of stories to tell, he was the biggest cut up. He loved his Lord and was a member of South Park Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Della Sue Chron; son, Curtis Chron and wife, Helen Chron of San Marcos and daughter, Sheila Chron Marsh of Marble Falls, and a sister, Minnie Orm of Weatherford. He also leaves behind six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. No services are planned. Family request memorials be made to Wounded Warriors or the Heart Association. |

Obituary: Former Snyder resident Jo Ann Hamblen Christy, 75, passed away on 21, 2015, at New Haven Memory in Kyle, Texas. Jo Ann was born in Lubbock, Texas, on 2, 1940, to John and Bessie Jo (Jackson) Hamblen. She and her brothers David Hamblen and James Hamblen spent their youth in Snyder and lived in Munich, Germany, for several years during high school while their father served in the military. She attended Texas Tech University and then Baylor University in Dallas, Texas, where she earned her nursing degree. She married Chester Christy in 1960 in Dallas, and they remained in Dallas while raising three children. For years, Jo Ann was active in the First Baptist Church of Dallas, singing in the choir and volunteering with childrens ministries. She also dedicated much time to her childrens school activities while they attended Dallas Christian Academy. raising her children, Jo Ann returned to school for her Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology and began practicing behavioral therapy with children in Dallas, southern California and Austin. In her later years, she was active with the United Methodist Church in Lakeway, Texas, where she loved harmonizing with the choir. Jo Ann was a joyful soul who loved God, people, nature, poodles, singing and gardening. She is survived by her children Celia Christy Fryar and her husband Craig Fryar, Douglas Christy, and Amy Christy Thompson and her husband Damon Thompson as well as her brothers David Hamblen and his wife Susie Hamblen, and James Hamblen and his wife Dianne Hamblen. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Christine Fryar, Connor Fryar, Cooper Fryar, Tristen Thompson, Curtis Thompson, Clara Thompson and Adelina Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Bessie Jo Hamblen and her former husband, Chester Christy. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM on , 23, 2015 at Kiker-Seale in Colorado City, Texas. The burial will follow at the Loraine in Loraine, Texas. |
