Obituary: Minnie Choate-Purvis went home peacefully on 7 while surrounded by family and friends. Born 6, 1928, Minnie was among the oldest of 14 siblings. During her childhood, she helped her beloved mother raise her brothers and sisters. Nurturing came natural to Minnie, and it defined the rest of her life. Minnie met George Purvis and were married 10, 1948. Together they raised their son, Phillip Albert and daughter, Pamela LeVon. Minnie went on to raise two more generations of her family to include two grandsons, a granddaughter and four great-grandchildren. While she worked over twenty years in retail, Minnies main love was children. retiring from the PX system, she worked as a nanny where her devout faith and unconditional love found expression in the children she raised. Minnie will be cremated and laid to rest in her hometown of Springfield, Missouri. She is survived by her son, Phillip, daughter, Pam. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Theresa LeBonte, Eric and Chris Wetmore. Obituary: William Gary Choate, 60, a lifelong resident of Beaumont passed away on 18, 2017 in Beaumont. He was born on 22, 1956 in Beaumont to his parents Godfrey O. Choate and LaRue Fischer Choate who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was one brother Bobby Choate, and one sister; Darla Al-Jureidini. He loved helping people, riding his bicycle, watching wrestling live or on TV, listening to country music, drinking Dr. Peppers, and participating in all sports. He was a Baptist by faith and attended Tyrrell Park Baptist Church and Cheek Baptist. He worked lawn maintenance for the Spindletop Workshop. Gary is survived by two brothers; Tom Choate and his wife Christene of Lafayette, La., Randy Choate of Beaumont, two sisters; Charlene Choate Muckridge of Houston, Andrea Descant and husband Frank of New Orleans, La., and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on 24, 2017 at Forest Lawn from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. services will be on 25, 2017 at 12:00 noon at the Forest Lawn Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Obituary: William (Bill) Leonard Choate, 61, of San Antonio passed away on 22, 2013. Bill was preceded in death by his loving parents, Leonard F. and Laura Lucile Boone Choate. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Cyndi Choate; daughter, Ashlie Choate; and grandchildren, Jeremy, Hayden and Adriana. Bill is also survived by his sister, Julie Choate, of Devine, Texas. Bill was a 1973 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, and a 1969 graduate of Alamo Heights High School. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, friend and Christian. Bill had a distinguished career in the marketing, management and procurement fields. He retired from USAA, where he was instrumental in the development of USAAs first Direct Mail Merchandise Catalog, and held a number of other executive positions while there. Bill was also employed by Fox-Stanley Photo Products and Sears & Roebuck. He had many friends and never met a stranger. He always enjoyed accompanying his daughter and oldest grandson, Jeremy, on their school field trips. His passions were travel, photography, gardening, hiking, spending time with his family and all outdoors activities. Bill was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where he taught school. Bill will be missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. The family wishes to extend their sincerest appreciation to Drs.
