Obituary: Romeo Chapa was born on , 4, 1938 and was baptized on , 30, 1952. He began serving in George West, Texas as soon as he was baptized, conducting the book study in his home, and in time he demonstrated his faith by serving in Bethel for more than 10 years, 6 of those alongside his beloved wife Cookie, whom he married 25, 1964. In time, he served with his wife in the Portuguese congregation in New York, after which they moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, and finally Houston, Texas. During most of this time he served as an elder in Heights Spanish congregation. When the name was changed to Inwood Forest, Romeo and Cookie had the privilege of being named the first regular pioneers of this congregation, serving faithfully until their deaths. Romeo Chapa, known as Papa Chapa by his closest friends, died peacefully on 17, 2016. Throughout his life, Romeo demonstrated that an imperfect man could be a marvelous husband, outstanding teacher, loyal friend, and father to many. Although his final months were difficult, he never stopped echoing the words found in Psalms 37: 25, 28. In his short time with us, Romeo proved his loyalty to Jehovah by working diligently, tirelessly, and arduously on behalf of his brothers and sisters in the congregation. He truly found joy in his sacred service as an Elder and Regular Pioneer, and sincerely rejoiced when he taught others what he had been able to learn thanks to Jehovahs undeserved kindness. Romeo is survived by his brothers and sisters Rogelio, Lucille, Lucia, Roel, and Lucio, along with many nieces and nephews. Thank you for all the love and support you gave Romeo Chapa. Romeo Chapa nació el viernes 4 de febrero de 1938 y simbolizó su dedicación a su Dios Jehová el domingo 30 de marzo de 1952. Empezó a servir en George West, Texas tan pronto se bautizó, dirigiendo el estudio de libro en su hogar, y con el tiempo demostró su fe al servir en Betel por más de 10 años, 6 de ellos al lado de su amada esposa Cookie, con quien se casó el 25 de octubre de 1964. Con el tiempo sirvió junto con su esposa en la congregación portugués en Nueva York, y después se mudaron y sirvieron en New Orleans, Louisiana, y finalmente Houston, Texas. La mayoría de ese tiempo sirvió de anciano en la congregación Heights Spanish. Cuando se cambió el nombre a Inwood Forest, Romeo y Cookie tuvieron el privilegio de ser los primeros precursores de esta congregación, sirviendo fielmente hasta su muerte. Obituary: Rafael Chapa III, age 54, passed away on 31, 2015 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Rafael was born on 9, 1960 in Robstown, Texas. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Rafael was very kind hearted, giving person and loved animals. He is preceded in death by his father Rafael V. Chapa Jr., sister Maricela Chapa, his maternal and paternal grandparents, his aunts Nellie and Domitila and a nephew Robert Edward Grimaldo. He is survived by his mother, Mary Chapa, his life partner Mary Villarreal; his children Rafael Ambrosio Chapa, Rafael Chapa IV, step children, Anna, Maria, Mundo, Marcos and Jerry; his brothers, Roberto (Imelda), Rolando, Demetrio; sisters Melinda (Roy), Martha; 9 grandchildren; numerous nieces, Lorissa who was his favorite and was always there with him, shed make him laugh so much that hed cry, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
