Obituary: Dustin L. Chaney, born 23, 1984 in Dallas, Texas died unexpectedly at the age of 32 on , 3 2017. He moved to Missouri City, Texas as a toddler and spent his childhood growing up in Quail Valley where he started playing soccer at the YMCA when he was five. He quickly developed a passion for the sport, playing both indoor and outdoor soccer throughout grade school and middle school, and serving as a member of the Elkins Knights varsity soccer team throughout High School, until he graduated in 2003. Dustin was a lover of conspiracy theories and a strong advocate for both underdogs and the unexpected. He was creative and handy, making his own matching coffee table, end table and magazine rack in his spare time. He was entertained by random, unusual ideas, and intense about the things and people he loved. He treasured his dog, Zeplin, and was generous with his adoration for his late grandmother, Janet, whom shared his love of reading. often visited book stores together, reading next to each other for hours. A gifted and talented student throughout his years in school, Dustin was driven by an insatiable appetite for knowledge. A natural critical thinker, and self-described nerd, he was interested in social justice, political discourse, economic policy, clean energy and technology and was unflinching in his pursuits. He maintained a 4.0 GPA at Tarrant , where he was on the Deans List and a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Sigma Kappa Delta, but the accomplishment he loved most was his self-serviced education in all things unordinary, which fueled his imagination when the subjects covered in a traditional school setting could no longer feed his mind. He could and would discuss everything from politics to red necks, black holes to time travel, Jesus to the Illuminati. He was renowned among friends for his phenomenal taste in music, extensive vocabulary and sense of humor, including more than occasionally misusing words to throw people off. Everyone who knew him was drawn to his infectious smile, warm eyes and handsome approach and those closest to him often turned to Dustin for tough love because they knew he would say what they needed to hear, not tell them what they wanted him to say. Dustin proudly worked as a Workforce Manager for the Cenikor Foundation, and was accepted into their leadership development program. In 2014, he transitioned to Oxford International in Fort Worth, Texas, where he worked, until his death, as a Regulatory & Compliance Technical Recruiter. Dustin was his beloved mothers only child and was exquisitely loved by her. Preceded in death by his grandfather, Kenneth L. Peek, and adored grandmother, Janet R. Peek. Dustin is survived by his mother, Cynde Peek Chaney, his father, Steven Chaney, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. A memorial service will be held on , 12, 2017 at two oclock in the afternoon at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, located at 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugarland, Texas 77478. Obituary: Douglas was born Nov. 9, 1964, in Oshkosh, Wis., the son of Wayne and Elaine Treul Chaney. He graduated from Lourdes Academy High School in 1982, the of St. Thomas in 1988 with a BA, and the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh, in 1993 with an MBA. He attended the Sophia University of Japan in 1986. He had lived in Texas for the past 21 years, and in Trophy Club for the past seven years. He was president and owner of DC Logistics, building his business into the success it is today. He was on the board of directors at the Trophy Club Country Club, the Positive Strokes Racquet Club, the IWLA, past president of DFW Transportation Club, regional director of Lancaster Chamber of Commerce, member CSCMP, Southwest Logistics Resource Group and mentor at Northlake . Doug was a proud Green Bay Packers fan and an Eagle Scout. He was an avid tennis player and took pleasure in playing tennis on multiple teams in the area. He was proud to be undefeated this year in doubles team play. He enjoyed traveling, diverse restaurants and lived life to the fullest. He was an amateur photographer, loved spending time with his family and friends and was a blessing to everyone he knew. Doug's last month was spent doing what he loved, spending quality time with his daughters, embarking on a new adventure, his time in Chile, and sharing joyous memories with dear friends and family. Services will be at 2 PM , 31, 2015, in the First Baptist Church in Colorado City with Revs. Jimmy Low and Larry Chaney officiating. Burial will follow in the Colorado City under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale . Claudine was born on 20, 1938 in Hunt , Texas to James and Laura Turner Foley. She married Bobby D. Chaney on 4, 1958 in Greenville, Texas. He preceded her in death on 19, 1984. She and her husband, Bobby, pastored Christian Fellowship Church for many years.
