Obituary: Jessie Rae Sisk Chacon, 29, native of Columbia and resident of Katy, Texas, died , 23, 2016. A memorial service to honor her splendid life was held on , 26, 2016 at Second Baptist Church West, in Katy, Texas. Her body now lies in rest at Memorial Oaks in Houston, Texas. Oakes & Nichols Directors are assisting the family with local announcements. Jess was born 18, 1986 in Columbia, Tennessee. She attended Columbia Academy and graduated in 2004. A gifted artist, she studied and performed dance for 15 years at Lisa Hull School of Dance, until graduation from high school. Jess was also a force to be reckoned with on the softball field for several years, and played on the CA softball team for one year. Other activities and organizations she participated in include the Junior Civitan Club, the National Honor Society, as well as Columbia Academys chorus. In 2000, she chose then-director of the chorus, Jerry Elder, as the person to baptize her into Christ. Her love for Christ remained prominent in her life, through its completion. While in Katy, Texas, she continued in worship and service at Second Baptist Church West, where she attended with her family. She had a passion for writing and a love for working with Special Needs children. Thousands followed the narrative of her journey on Facebook, after she was diagnosed with cancer in of 2012. She wrote hopeful, inspiring entries, chronicling her struggles with her illness, and spiritual victories through her faith. That journey reflected the inner strength that spurred her on to complete her Bachelors Degree in History in 2013, at University of Sam Houston. She planned to pursue a career in teaching, once both her daughters were enrolled in school. Jess is survived by her beloved husband of 9 years, Jacob, and their two daughters: Caydence (7) and Cayleigh (5). She is also survived by her parents, Danny (Denise) Sisk, Maria Devore; grandparents Sharon Cole, Delories Sisk; sisters Dana (Donovan), Diana (Mark), Anna (Jeremy), Kate (Eddie). Parents-in-law are Richard and Nely Chacon; grandparents-in-law Jose and Isabel Vera Chacon; brothers-in-law Jason, Justin, and Jared (Rebekah) Chacon; sister-in-law Joslyn. Pamela Delk, an honorary friend, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dearly loved friends survive Jess, and will miss the light she has shone on our lives. He has put a new song in my mouth – Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear. And I will trust in the Lord. (Psalm 40:3) She was preceded in death by her grandfathers Tom Sisk and James Devore, Sr. The family wishes to express profound gratitude for the deluge of phone calls, inquiries, the expressions of love and sympathy, both from friends, and friends unknown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in honor of Jess to the fund established for her daughters. Jessica leaves behind her husband of 9 years, Jacob, and their two daughters: Caydence (7) and Cayleigh (5). Jessica is survived by her parents Danny (Denise) Sisk, Maria Devore, parents-in-law Richard and Nely Chacon, grandparents Sharon Cole, Delores Sisk, and Jose and Isabel Vera, sisters Dana(Donovan), Diana (Mark), Anna (Jeremy), Kate (Eddie), and Joslyn, brothers Jason, Justin, and Jared (Rebekah), and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Obituary: Henry Montez Chacon, age 89, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather went to be with the Lord on 3, 2014. He was born 26, 1924 in Bloomington, TX to the late Lalo and Luz Montes Chacon and lived his whole life in Victoria. Henry was retired from Don Krueger Construction after 25 years. Then became self-employed as a commercial and residential painter where he had many loyal customers. Henry also proudly served in the National Guard. He is survived by his daughters Rosemary Urrabazo of Victoria, Annie Chacon and husband, Enrique Gonzales of Pflugerville, Vanessa Morris and husband, Robert of Austin; son, Henry C. Chacon, Jr. of Victoria; sisters, Clemenica Sanchez of Victoria, Mary Ann Galletti of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Michael and wife, Misty Urrabazo, Jacob and wife, Rachel Urrabazo, Vanessa Kathryn Urrabazo, Anthony Chacon, Rhiannon Gonzales, Ethan Morris and Aiden Morris. Henry also leaves seven great-grandchildren; Kasey Hernandez, Carlito Hernandez, Raquel Felice Garcia, Cincere Urrabazo, Miavonnie Urrabazo, Jalianne Urrabazo and Jacob Ryan Urrabazo. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Felice Chacon, son, Joseph Rene Chacon; sister, Anita Garcia and brother, John Garcia. Quick with a joke and even quicker with witty puns, he has deeply touched the lives of all his family members. He will be greatly missed and even more greatly celebrated. His family would like to send their appreciation to all the nurses and staff at Twin Pines and to Hospice of South Texas. A rosary will be recited at 7 PM on , 7, 2014 at Rosewood Chapel. The funeral mass will be 9 AM on , 8, 2014 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Memorial Park .
