Obituary: Thomas Louis , 76, of Round Rock, Texas entered eternal life on 17, 2017. Tom was born in Glens Falls, New York on 21, 1940. He graduated from Queensbury High School on 23, 1958. He immediately joined the Air Force and served eight years. When he was honorably discharged he used the knowledge he obtained from his father to begin his construction career. Throughout his life he was a master craftsman, he owned Tom Construction , worked in commercial construction supervising multi-million dollar governmental projects. In his retirement from construction, Tom turned to building country and custom furniture. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Dad/Papa/Tom during his 76 years, among them are • You can be born in Glens Falls, New York and still be a true Texan. • The proper way to change a dirty diaper is with a garden hose. • Protecting your girls is always worth a good fight. • Cold coffee and M&Ms are a great snack for a three year old. • Never tell the CIA you have a bomb in your lunch bag lest you end up spread eagled on the ground in your underwear. • Don ignore the porch light flickering when you are on a date unless you want to see a chain on the hood of your car. • You can rip a picture of a piece of furniture out of a magazine and it could be perfectly made in his shop. • Your meat should never moo back at you; salt your pepperoni pizza. • Never eat eggs before a flight to service a B52 bomber. • Don pee into the wind. • Large quantities of sawdust can be safely consumed by small children. • If you want to be educated, watch Fox News. • You can love a liberal daughter. • The perfect place to solve the worlds problems is on a golf course. Tom and Peggy have been married 56 years. This love story started with Peggy living with her in-laws, then living on an island for 18 months with no way off, three girls in three years, without two nickels to rub together, and no family nearby to help. Through the years they leaned on each other to build a family through unwavering faith in God, unconditional love for each other, huge doses of laughter and fun, grit and perseverance. are role models of great personal strength, happiness, joy, faith, commitment, and creating strong family legacies. Tom was preceded in death by his precious daughter, Tammy Lynn Campbell, his father, Louis William , his mother, Beatrice Tubbs , four siblings, Marie, Ruthie, Timothy, and Louis (Skeet). His spirit is carried on by his wife, Peggy and his daughters Candy and Lori whose junior high photos he kept in his wallet to use at times to get them back for tricks they played on him at various points in his life. He is also survived by Candys husband Jim Parrish and Loris husband David Johnston, his four grandchildren Jennifer Trou and her husband Jean Pierre, Tana Campbell and her husband Alberto Apodaca, Taylor Johnston and Lanae Johnston, and one great grandson who bears his name Thomas Henry Trou. And an extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life. We will celebrate and honor Tom's life with his family and friends at the following events: Celebration Service - 22, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Westside Church of Christ (where he was a member.) 3300 FM 1431 Round Rock, Texas 78681 Graveside Service (immediately following Celebration Service) Cook-Walden / Capital Parks 14501 North IH-35 Pflugerville, Texas 78660 Tom greatly enjoyed his casual wear, open collared shirts and boots... He requested no ties be worn at his funeral. He wanted everyone to be completely comfortable.
