Obituary: Lynn Skelton Camp, 83, passed away 22, 2012 at her home. She was a remarkable mother, amazing aunt and great friend who will always be remembered for her quick wit, intelligence and caring nature. Lynn was born 12, 1929, and grew up in Cameron, Texas. She married Frank Adair Camp in 1951, and shortly thereafter moved to San Antonio, where she has resided since. Mrs. Camp was a longtime English teacher at Robert E. Lee High School. Throughout her life, she enjoyed reading, playing bridge and traveling the world. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank and brother, Bill Skelton. She leaves behind daughter, Cindy Mott of Panama City, Florida, niece Nancy Bonds and husband Ed Bonds of Houston, Texas, niece Carla David and husband Elbert David of Round Rock, Texas, and their children as well as many loving friends. Her sense of humor, as well as her presence in our lives, will be dearly missed. MEMORIAL SERVICE SATURDAY, APRIL 28, 2012 2:00 P.M. Obituary: Lahoma Hacker Camp died peacefully in her sleep on 5, 2002, at the age of 91. She was born in Weleetka, OK, the youngest child of Benjamin and Beaulah Hacker. A member of Coker Methodist Church, she was the John Wesley Class pianist for a number of years. She was a member of Harlandale OES. A dedicated volunteer, she served both Boysville and the Methodist Blue Birds. She was active for many years in the Sears Retiree Club. Mrs. Camp was preceded in death by her husband, Clarance L. Camp, her son, Farron and her daughter, Sharon. Her family will miss her sweet smile and her caring ways. She was a great cook and enjoyed entertaining family and friends. Obituary: John Henry (Jack) Camp, born in New Orleans, LA on 25th, 1925 to Daniel A. and Mary McLoughlin Camp, left this world on 14, 2012. Jack and his wife of 53 years, Joy Beck Camp, who preceded him in death, raised a family of five children in Dallas: Judy, Cathy, John Thomas, Jim, and Maureen. Jack served three years in the Navy during WW II in the Pacific theatre and was awarded 4 battle medals for his service on the battleship USS South Dakota. He helped rescue the Allied POWs in Tokyo in 1945. the war, Jack started a 41 year career with Goodyear Tire Co. in New Orleans. Benefitting from the GI Bill, Jack worked and studied business and accounting at Loyola University in New Orleans and the University of Houston. Upon moving his family to Dallas in 1962, the Camps became charter members of St. Patrick Catholic Church. One of Jacks passions was sports and he became a Cowboys season ticket holder the teams first season. Jack and Joy attended many Cowboys NFL championship and Super Bowl games. Jack was the proud grandfather of Carlos, Marc, Pablo, Nicole, Michael, John Paul, Jennifer, Justin, Erin, Michelle and Caitlin. He also had eight great grandchildren. Other survivors of his family include his sister, Eleanor Surrat of New Orleans, son-in law Bill, and daughters -in -law Elizabeth and Diane. Visitation , 17, 2012 at the funeral home from 6-8 PM with a rosary at 7PM . Mass 10AM , 18, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9643 Ferndale Rd. in Dallas. Obituary: MANSFIELD, TX - John Camp, 85, of Mansfield, TX, passed away , 20, 2015, after a year-long battle with cancer. He was born 21, 1929, in Fort Branch, Indiana, and was of the Baptist faith. serving 22 years, John retired from the Navy with the rank of Master-Chief. He was also a retired Kentucky Teacher. For 15 years, John was the Program Director/Instructor for the Radiologic Technology Program in Madisonville, KY. In 1986, he received the and Personal Services Outstanding Teacher of the year award. Throughout his teaching career, he was a voluntary faculty member at Madisonville Community and University of Kentucky committee for special exams for AAS degree articulation through UK. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emma Dale and Charles C. Camp, Sr.; sisters Vera Lee Leiendecker and Billie Teel; brothers Charles C. Camp, Jr. and James Robert Camp; and daughter Jonnie Darlene Camp Wilson. Survivors include his wife, Deborah McCarraher Camp of Mansfield, TX; son Mark Camp of Chattanooga, TN; son-in-law, Ronnie Wilson of Groveport, OH; four grandchildren, Jon Camp of Nashville, TN, Brady (Alecia) Camp of Benton, KY, Cory Camp of Paducah, KY, and Scott Wilson of Groveport, OH; and several great-grandchildren.
