Obituary: Colleen Annette Rothell Clark passed away on 13, 2014 in Mt Pleasant, SC. She was born on 30th, 1928 in Greensboro, GA to Nathan Emory and Florence Deason Rothell. She was married to the late Joseph Wardell Clark Jr. of Columbia, SC for 63 years. Colleen grew up in Georgia, the eldest and longest lived of four siblings. She graduated from Crawford Long Memorial Hospital School of with a degree as a Registered Nurse in 1948. She and her friend Elsie Risher worked in Asheville, NC at a tuberculosis clinic after graduation. Colleen met Joe while he was at Georgia Tech. married on 11, 1949, moved to Columbia, SC and raised their six children. attended First Baptist Church, where Colleen became involved with the International Friendship Ministries, a private Christian organization which seeks to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ to international students through sincere friendship and services. For many years, Colleen and Joe divided their time between their homes in Highlands, NC and Mt Pleasant, SC were enthusiastic participants in the tennis programs in Mt. Pleasant and Highlands. were active members of Sullivans Island Baptist Church and Highlands United Methodist. Colleen was also very active in the East Cooper New Comers Club. Colleen and Joe loved their life together. traveled the world and especially loved cruises. Colleen loved the outdoors, going for walks daily and gardening. She also enjoyed bridge, crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Colleen dedicated her life to taking care of her husband and children. She is survived by Anne Clark Abbott (Julian), Joe W Clark III (Wanda), Mark S Clark (Evora), Susan Clark Marlowe (Bobby), Cary R Clark (Megan), and Carol Clark Williams (David). Grandchildren: Jenny Abbott Kitchings (Craig), John Abbott (Megan), Joe W Clark IV, Kerry Donny-Clark,(Melanie), Danny Donny-Clark (Yumi), Aaron Donny -Clark, Hope Wilder (Jessie), Cooper Marlowe (Casey), Marcos Clark, Alice Williams, Christopher Williams and seven great grandchildren. On 16, 2014 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm the family will receive friends at 10 Fernandina St., Mt Pleasant, SC. The graveside service will be held at Elmwood , Columbia, SC on , 22, 2014 at 11:00 am. The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the staff at Sweetgrass Assisted Living for their loving care . In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Colleens name to Hospice of Charleston, 676 Wando Park Blvd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464. |

Obituary: Clarence Doyle Clark, of Taylors, age 90, passed away on 25, 2017. Doyle was the son of the late C.B. and Leila Clark. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Doyle was retired from the Engineering Department of Steel Heddle Mfg. He was named the top Industrial Apprentice in SC in his early years. Doyle is survived by his wife, Sybil Clark of the home; two daughters, Deborah (James) Guthrie of Inman; Tammy Grant of Taylors; four sons, Wallace (Wanda) Clark of Easley, Ronald Stephen (Diana Grant of Benicia, CA, Frank (Billie) Grant of Mauldin, and Jeffery (Hope) Grant of Easley; a sister, Shirley Dickson of Greenville; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Charles (Butch) Clark; a sister, Winifred Cooper; and a granddaughter, Nicole Frasure Smith. Doyle was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and a member of the Christian Fellowship Class. The family wishes to thank special neighbors Wayne and Kellie Brown. services will be held on , 28, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park with Military Honors. The family will receive friends on at the church from 1:30 PM - 2:45 PM prior to the service. The Christian Fellowship School Class will be Honorary Escort. Obituary: Charles C. Clark COLUMBIA \ services for Charles C. Clark, 86, will be held at 3:00 p.m. , 22, 2013 at Caughman-Harman , Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel with entombment in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The Rev. Donald Avore and Rev. Jeffrey Neelands will conduct the service. Mr. Clark was born May 13, 1927 in Lee , VA and passed away on , 19, 2013. He was a son of the late David Cecil Clark and Ora Hopkins Clark. Mr. Clark served his country in the United States Navy and retired with United Technologies after 30 years of service. Mr. Clark is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Margie F. Clark; sister, Bobbie Sue Clark Reed; brothers, John Clark and Billy Joe Clark all of Tennessee; daughters, Joan Adele Daniels of Texas, Mary Ellen Wormer (Ron) of Georgia, and Carol Jean Miracle (Dennis) of South Carolina; sons, Charles Wayne Clark (Rhonda) of Georgia, Curtis Clay Clark of Tennessee and Calvin C. Clark (Renee) of South Carolina; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. PaPa Cecil had step children; grandchildren and great-grandchildren that loved him and he will be missed by all.
