Pallbearers for Annabelle include her beloved grandchildren, Andy Cole, Danny Cole, Zac Cole, Annabelle Jackson, Ginnie Jackson, and Bonnie Jackson. Annabelle Chastain Cole was born in Abilene Texas on 9th, 1930 to John Chastain and Ethel May Jarvis Chastain. She had two brothers and two sisters, Wretha Bea Brown of California, John Chastain of Tulsa Oklahoma, Mary Lou Floyd of Ponca City Oklahoma, all deceased and James Chastain of Bartlesville Oklahoma. Her mother was killed saving her son from being hit by a drunk driver while walking home from the store in Ontario California when she was 9 years old. The family then moved back to Tahlequah Oklahoma where the children were raised by their grandparents. She graduated in 1948 from Bagley High School in Tahlequah and began attending classes at Northeastern State studying business management. She met Rothel Cole at the Tahlequah movie theater where he was working as a projectionist and usher. married on 23rd, 1951 and had two children David and six years later Susan. returning from the military Rothel managed an electrical contracting company in Tulsa and Annabelle used her skills from college as his secretary/bookkeeper until his death in 1970. When her son started his own electrical contracting business she pulled up her sleeves and helped him as his office manager from 1983 until she retired in 2012. In her free time she loved to craft and would set up a booth with a close friend at local craft fairs to sell her crocheting jewelry and sewing. She was a huge fan of the Grand Ole Opry and had a large library of western novels, collecting as many Louis LAmour books as she could find. She was a collector of bird figurines as many family and friends know. are in every corner of her home and she knew where and when she acquired every one. She loved to watch John Wayne westerns and there was always the long lunch so she could catch up on her stories dinner was always a special time at her house. She would host family and friends, always ready to add a plate for any unexpected visitors, catch up on the weeks news and events and enjoyed everybodys company. She even came up with a special birthday cake, Chocolate Shortcake which everyone had to have for their birthday, sometimes with The Train and candles on top. She loved to attend family get together and organized a family cookbook for one of the large family reunions, and usually volunteering to help organize her high school reunions and parades. She was determined, smart and very quick on her feet and happiest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren and family. She had a quick smile and friendly face that everyone she met enjoyed. Her health began to fail her and she passed from this life on 7th 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 84. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family. Annabelle is preceded in death by her parents, John Chastain and Ethel May Jarvis Chastain, her husband Rothel Cole, her sisters Wretha Bea Brown and Mary Lou Floyd and brother John Oliver Chastain. Those left to cherish her memory include her adored children, David Cole and wife Debby of Broken Arrow, OK, Susan Jackson and her husband Joe of Broken Arrow, Ok. She leaves one brother, James Chastain and wife Sharon of Bartlesville, OK. Her legacy lives on in her six adored grandchildren, Andy Cole and wife Cheryl of Tulsa, OK, Danny Cole and wife Jennifer of Bixby, OK, Zac Cole and wife Erica of Glenpool, OK, Annabelle Jackson of Broken Arrow, OK, Ginnie Jackson of Broken Arrow, OK and Bonnie Jackson of Broken Arrow, OK. She leaves two great grandchildren, Jace Cole and Aubrey Cole of Bixby, OK, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones. |

Obituary: Exie passed peacefully at the age of 101 years and 10 months on May 25, 2015, from this life into Heaven to join her beloved Jesus and her family members who have gone before her. Her parents were Lilly Belle and Levi Mitchell Taylor, a Baptist minister, who farmed near Lane, Oklahoma, where she first attended school. She was a lifetime member of the Baptist church. She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, and two brothers, her husband, Charles, of 69 years, and a son, Dwight "Connie." Coldiron. She and Charles were dairy farmers. had six sons and one daughter. She was a loving and devoted mother who often said she "would walk on water for her children." were her pride and joy and she would do anything to help them, especially insisting that they get the best education possible, and they all became very successful because of her encouragement and sacrifice to give them a better life. She leaves behind Don and wife Elaine, Arnold and wife, Wanda; Ladona and husband M. R. Sheets, Phil and wife Kay, Mark and wife Angela, and Brent and wife Jocelyn, and 18 grandchildren: Dr. Nancy Ferry, Kim Coldiron, Michael Coldiron, Lisa Coldiron, Connie Jo Klette, Dr. Brett Coldiron, Greg Coldiron, Lt. Colonel Brynnen Hahn, Karyn Shubert, Jana Zettl, Kendal Sheets, Clay Coldiron, Kelly Coldiron, Jay Coldiron, Dr. Zachary Coldiron, Seth Coldiron, Aaron Coldiron, Rebecca Smith, and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, all of whom were very precious to her. Exie was energetic, optimistic, generous, and hard working with a fantastic memory and a passion for antique collecting, politics, American history, western books, and quilting. She had many friends and loved to prepare meals and invited them to great dinners, with homemade bread and pecan pie. She cooked many wonderful holiday meals for the family and enjoyed celebrating birthdays. Her 100th birthday party was fabulous and held at the Skirvin Hotel in Oklahoma City, with almost 200 guests attending a dinner and dance. She collected over 100 antique dolls and filled her home with antique furniture, making 121 beautiful quilts that she gave to her children, participating as a "Bellmon Bell" during ex-Governor Bellmon's campaign, reading numerous historical and western books, and traveling with Charles to many historical sites across our nation. She was nominated as "Mother of the Year" for Oklahoma. A highlight of her life was a trip to Israel at the age of 95 with son Arnold and wife Wanda, and daughter-in-law Jocelyn. Services will be held on , May 30th, at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Chapel, with Burial Service to follow at Memorial Park . Obituary: Linda Lee Gadd Colby passed away , 17, 2011. She was born 21, 1944 in Lincoln, NE to Ben and Leta Gadd. Linda attended Lincoln Public Schools, William Woods and graduated from the University of Nebraska. She married the love of her life, Jerry Colby on 20, 1973. Jerry preceded Linda in death on May 3, 1989. Linda worked for Cox Communications and William Sonoma Telemarketing until her retirement a few years ago. Linda was a talented home interior decorator. She enjoyed gardening, bird-watching, and collecting antiques. She was a passionate animal lover. Her beloved cats will miss her. She was especially devoted to and survived by her mother, Leta Gadd. Linda enjoyed helping other people as well as rescuing animals in need. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her father, Ben R. Gadd Sr, and her sister Sandra Riedel. Obituary: Tahlequah, OK- services for Martha Rose Colburn will be held at the Reed- Culver Chapel on , 27, 2011 at 10;00 AM with Reverend Reece Calvert officiating. Interment will follow at the Cedar Tree near Briggs, OK. The family will receive guests at Reed-Culver on , 26th, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM during Visitation. Pallbearers for Martha include her family, Daren Gower, Bruce Gower, Dillon LeMasters, Tommy LeMasters. Andrew Young, Ryan Young, Jeff Owen, and Garrett Clement. Martha Rose Colburn was born on 30, 1930 in the Briggs Community east of Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Bertie and Narcissia (Chair) Briggs. She departed this life to live eternally with her heavenly father on 24, 2011 at the Tahlequah City Hospital with her children and grandchildren by her side. She was a retired nurse aide who worked in various nursing homes in the Tahlequah area. Martha was of the Holiness faith and enjoyed going to church when she was able. She was currently attending the Parris Full Gospel Church north of Tahlequah. Martha had a great love for her Savior, Jesus Christ, and enjoyed telling others what he had done for her. Her children and grandchildren have many wonderful memories of Mom and Granny-Martha. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Dugan, Earl, and Yahola Briggs as well as one sister, Vivian Spears and her daughter, Angela ette Young. Martha is survived bt three sons, Jeffrey Colburn and wife Lynn of Woodall, OK, Michael Young of Tahlequah, Steven Young and his wife Tammy also of Tahlequah,OK. Her three daughters include Sharon Kay Briggs of Tahlequah, Paulette Gower and husband Jerry of Keys, OK, and Peggy Horn and husband Bill of Moody, OK. She is survived by two sisters, Verna Holstein, of Madison, WV, and Mary Ann Fritts of Tahlequah. Her legacy lives on in her grandchildren, Daren Gower, Becky LeMasters, Trisha House, Marsha Siler, Sara and Lynzee Colburn, Kimberly Owen, Andrew Young and Ryan Young, eight great-great grandchildren as well as a host of friends and loved ones. |
