Obituary: Marvin Marlin Coffey was born 2, 1946 in Garvin, OK the son of Oscar Holman Coffey and Lillian May (Logan) Coffey and had lived in the Valliant Area most of his life. Marvin married Anita Strickland on 4, 1993 in DeQueen, AR. Marvin was a proud Vietnam War Veteran. He served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. and had received the Presidential Unit Citation. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 301 VFW and was also a proud Mason. He loved to hunt, fish, camp and taking care of his yard. He collected marbles, enjoyed being outdoors, playing bingo and watching football. He also enjoyed serving his community. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers: Bo Coffey and Clarence Coffey. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: sons, Paul Young and Thomas Young both of Northglenn, CO and daughters: Munday Young of Jacksonville, FL, Juanita Young of Austin, TX and Julee McGinnes of Valliant, OK; brothers: Royce Coffey and Don Coffey both of Millerton, OK; sisters: Martha Endsley of Millerton, OK and Ann Thompson of Choctaw, OK; eleven grandchildren including a special granddaugher Faith Box, many great nieces/nephews/cousins and a host of other family and friends. |
