Nancy was the only child of Kent and Melissa and was born in Wichita, KS on 8th, 1957. Nancy grew up in California, spending her youth riding horses and gallivanting in the great outdoors with her parents. She was a lifetime learner which lead her to receive her Bachelor Degree at the University of La Verne. She married Steven Copsey on 12th, 1983. Which lead to the birth of their twin girls, Bonnie and Megan, a few years later. She then spent her life as a philanthropist, dedicating her life to others. Those who knew her, knew that she was feisty, strong, kind, supportive, generous and had a thirst for adventure. She was a patron of the arts, a world traveler, an equestrian, and a naturalist. Most of all she was a beloved mom, wife, and daughter. |

Obituary: Nancy Copriviza passed away peacefully on 9, 2014 at her home in Watsonville, Ca. Nancy was born and raised in Watsonville, California where she attended Notre Dame School. graduating High School she went to the University of San Francisco to study nursing. In her early Twenties she met the love of her life Anthony Copriviza and soon they were married and living in Watsonville close to family and friends. Nancy worked at a doctors office and enjoyed playing tennis, going to the beach, drives in the countryside being outdoors, gardening and caring for pets and strays that she routinely took in. It wasn long before Nancy and Tony had two boys, and mom spent the next years raising her family - going to the various sporting events the kids played in and spending time together as a family – which was her greatest joy. This involved an annual camping trip to the Sierras and weekly trips to the beach when time permitted. Sending her two boys off to the University of Santa Clara was one of her proudest moments. Once the kids were grown, Nancy enjoyed traveling and took trips to Croatia, Italy, Egypt and the East Coast. Nancy enjoyed life, her family, and close friends. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she loved to visit with them and watch them search her yard for hidden eggs on Easter Day. She was always a spirited and generous person who would help a friend in need. All that were touched by her generosity and compassion will miss her. In her later days she found happiness in the warmth of the sun on her skin, a cool breeze, and a cat or two around her feet. Nancy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and companion. She leaves behind two children, two daughter in laws, and four grandchildren; Michael (Emmy) Copriviza of Cupertino (Anthony and Courtney), Thomas (LeAnn) Copriviza of Aptos (Claire and John). Her husband Anthony Copriviza, along with her parents Peter L, and Mary Stolich, brother David Stolich, and great Aunt Cecelia Garcia preceded Nancy in death. Mom has been reunited with her husband in heaven and we can already see them smiling down on us. A private funeral is planned, and the family requests that contributions in her name can be made to Hospice of Santa Cruz . Mehls Colonial Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements. |

Obituary: Kathryn Copriviza, life long resident of Watsonville, CA, passed away peacefully on 24th, 2016 in her home surrounded by family. Kathryn was born 24, 1937 to Stella Jurash and Peter Zar. She attended Moreland Notre Dame Elementary/High School. Shortly after, she met the love of her life dancing at the Coconut Grove. married in of 1957 and began to grow their family, which ultimately became their world. Her husband, John passed away young and far too soon, however Kathryn stayed strong. Her infant daughter, Christine, also preceded her in death. Kathryn is survived by her three children and ten grandchildren: John and Donita, Ryan and Stefanie, Nick and Scott. Kay Lynn and Randy Benko, Craig and Monica, Audrey and Tori. Peter and Jackie, AJ and Victoria, Ali, Megan and Christopher. And her adopted son and lifelong neighbor, Dino. Kathryns family and many close friends were her biggest priority. Kathryn was always on the go; vacationing, golfing and shopping. Her greatest joy was getting the family together, especially for the Easter holiday. Kathryn was a tough cookie and packed a fiery personality, leaving an endearing impression on everyone she knew, a-da-ta-da-ta-da. A Catholic rosary and mass will be held on , 29th, 12:30pm at Resurrection Church, Aptos, CA. Mehls Colonial Chapel was entrusted with funeral arrangements. |
