Obituary: Pascual Domingo Concepcion Pascual Domingo Concepcion was born on 8, 1953 in the Philippines. He was the second oldest of 4 children. Growing up he was a very good student. He always strived to be a better person. At a young age he decided that he did not want to be a farmer like his dad and instead decided to join the Navy. When he was 18 he joined the US Navy and moved to the US. He started as a seamen apprentice in 1974 and worked hard throughout his navy career and moved up the ranks quickly finally reaching his ultimate goal of becoming a Master Chief. He took his Navy career seriously and used the same Navy values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment in his everyday life. Although he was often described as stubborn and tough he had a soft heart and his intentions were always for the better good. His expectations were high of others because his expectations of himself were higher. He often stressed to everyone the value of keeping your word and your commitment. Integrity and character were things he held dear and he often prided himself in never taking the easy way out of any situation and never stepping over people to get to the top. He was a caring, compassionate and loving person. He would give you his last dollar if you needed it, without question. He made his home warm and inviting and no one ever went home hungry. Often times you would think he was feeding the whole neighborhood. He not only shared what he had with others but what he knew as well. He was a mentor and adviser to so many people both directly and indirectly. He felt that knowledge should not be kept secret or held tightly but instead that it should be shared with all so that everyone could learn and benefit. One of the most important things to him was his family. His whole purpose and goal in life was to raise his kids to the best of his ability and to hopefully put them in a position to be better off than he was. During the time that he was sick he had often mentioned how he felt at peace with knowing that we would all be ok and how proud he was of what his kids had all become.
