Obituary: CLYBURN, Marilyn J. age 78, of New Lebanon, passed away on , 11, 2014. She was born on 18, 1936 in East Bernstadt, KY to her parents Charles Sparks and Ruby Lee Jarvis. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Sparks Jarvis; her mother Ruby Lee (Arnold) Jarvis; and brother, William Lee Jarvis. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Arnold R. Clyburn; son, Ronald W. Clyburn; grandsons, Travis A. Clyburn, Ryan L. Clyburn, Matthew E. Wilcher and his fiancée, Anna P. Bornstein; sisters, Vivian K. (Jarvis) Salyers, and Patricia A. (Jarvis) Tolbert; and numerous nieces and nephews. Marilyn graduated from Hazel Green High School in East Bernstadt, Kentucky in 1953 at the age of 16. She moved to Cincinnati, where she worked as a bookkeeper for Seaboard Finance . While living in Cincinnati, she met Arnold Clyburn and they married in 1959. Marilyn and Arnold moved to Dayton and she became a homemaker and full-time mother after the birth of their only son, Ronald (Ronnie). Marilyn was co-owner of Clyburns Insurance Agency in New Lebanon with her husband Arnold for 30 years. Marilyn was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed. The Family will receive friends for visitation on , 14 from 5-8 PM at Rogers , New Lebanon. Service will be , 15 at 1 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Doug Clem officiating. Burial will follow the service at Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria. |

Obituary: Shirley Ann Cluxton, 85, of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully , 26, 2017 with her sons by her side. Born 15, 1931 to Dennis and Mary (Schmidt) Masters, she was a lifelong resident of Miamisburg and a 1949 graduate of Miamisburg High School. Shirley enjoyed serving as a room mother when her children were in school. Over the years, she became an avid Bridge player and enjoyed the card club group and the monthly dinner group. She had a love of horses and horse racing; but her passion in life was her husband, her children, and her grandchildren. Shirley is survived by her sons, Doug (Tom Lowther) Cluxton of Columbus, Jeff (Vicki) Cluxton of Westfield, IN, Eric (Dana) Cluxton of Miamisburg, and Roger (Peggy Kennedy) Cluxton of New York, NY; grandchildren, Brian, Beth, Emily, Mindy, Matthew, Amanda, Andrew, Lauren, Andrea, and Nic; 14 great grandchildren, brother-in-law, Lewis (Charlotte) Cluxton; sisters-in-law, Rita Grenko and Lois Masters; dear friend of 80 years, Joan Boyer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Cluxton, who passed on 12, 2010; and her brother, Robert Masters. A memorial service to celebrate Shirleys life will be held at 3 PM on , 1, 2017 at GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE , Miamisburg with Mayor Dick Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ray Cluxton Memorial Scholarship Fund, C/O Miamisburg Schools Education Foundation, PO Box 464, Miamisburg, Ohio 45343 or to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420.
