Obituary: CLYBURN, Marilyn J. age 78, of New Lebanon, passed away on , 11, 2014. She was born on 18, 1936 in East Bernstadt, KY to her parents Charles Sparks and Ruby Lee Jarvis. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Sparks Jarvis; her mother Ruby Lee (Arnold) Jarvis; and brother, William Lee Jarvis. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Arnold R. Clyburn; son, Ronald W. Clyburn; grandsons, Travis A. Clyburn, Ryan L. Clyburn, Matthew E. Wilcher and his fiancée, Anna P. Bornstein; sisters, Vivian K. (Jarvis) Salyers, and Patricia A. (Jarvis) Tolbert; and numerous nieces and nephews. Marilyn graduated from Hazel Green High School in East Bernstadt, Kentucky in 1953 at the age of 16. She moved to Cincinnati, where she worked as a bookkeeper for Seaboard Finance . While living in Cincinnati, she met Arnold Clyburn and they married in 1959. Marilyn and Arnold moved to Dayton and she became a homemaker and full-time mother after the birth of their only son, Ronald (Ronnie). Marilyn was co-owner of Clyburns Insurance Agency in New Lebanon with her husband Arnold for 30 years. Marilyn was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed. The Family will receive friends for visitation on , 14 from 5-8 PM at Rogers , New Lebanon. Service will be , 15 at 1 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Doug Clem officiating. Burial will follow the service at Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria. |
