Obituary: Phillip age 79, of Fresno, lost his battle with cancer on , 11, 2014. His family was at his side. Phillip was born and raised in Fresno in 1935, and was the son of Jesus and Juana Colmenero. He was from a family of ten. He had four brothers, Jesse, Frank, Louie and Felix; and three sisters, Stella, Annie and Remijia. Phillip was the youngest and the last to be reunited with his family. Phillip graduated from Roosevelt High School, continuing on to Fresno City and then to California State University, Fresno. Phillip also served his country in the United States Army. returning to civilian life, he became a Restaurateur and a Small Business Owner, opening Wimpy's Drive-In near Fresno City . Simultaneously, Phil worked at Juvenile Hall, working his way up to Senior Probation Officer for the City of Fresno, before retiring in 1996. In his later years, Phil enjoyed gardening, dancing and traveling. Phillip known to many as Uncle Mickey, was a kind hearted man of few words and with many friends. He was a humanitarian, helping many different people throughout his life but his family was always his number one priority. He is survived by his wife Frances; daughter Stephanie; son, Phillip Jr.; grandson Collin; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. "He will be greatly missed" Visitation will be held at Lisle on , 20, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 4:00 p.m. A Mass will be held at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on , 21, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Saint Peter's . |

Obituary: Lewis Robert Colmenero was born on 20, 1928, to Jesus and Juana Col- menero, and passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on , 20, 2011, at the age of 82. Lewis worked as a shipping and receiving clerk for Bonners /Valley Fig Growers for over 38 years. On 1, 1953 he married Benselada Arias and together they raised seven children. He was preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Juana Colmenero; his brothers, Jesus and Frank Colmenero; and sisters, Stella Palcencia and Annie Salvio; and one granddaughter, Salisha Delgado. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Benselada Colmenero; children, Mary Frances Mejia, Eileen Gonzalez, Robert, Michael, Phillip and Linda Colmenero of Fresno, and Patricia Jaurigue of Del Rey; brothers, Felix and Phillip Colmenero, and sister Maria Colmenero; three sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law, 21 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
