Obituary: Robert F. Carrabine, age 93, of Thompson, passed away , 7, 2014 at Residence of Chardon surrounded by his family. Born 5, 1920 in Cleveland, he was the son of Gladys (Pfalzgraf) and Luke Carrabine. He married Margaret Janda in Albuquerque, NM on 11, 1945. A 1938 Graduate of St. Ignatius High School, he also attended John Carroll University. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was assigned to the Manhattan Project in Los Alamos, NM. the war, Robert returned to work at TRW and retired after 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church in Thompson. Robert enjoyed bingo, traveling and was an avid Cleveland sports fan. He was a devoted husband and father always putting family first. He is survived by his sons, Robert A. (Mary) Carrabine of Little River, SC, Daniel F. (Kathleen) Carrabine of Garfield Heights, OH, Michael E. (Melissa) Carrabine of Chardon, OH, James J. Carrabine of Hartsgrove, OH, Brian P. Carrabine of Colebrook, OH; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Olive Carrabine of Sarasota, FL, Lois Carrabine of Brooklyn Heights, OH, Anna Weber of Brecksville, OH; brother-in-law, Donald Janda of Strongsville, OH. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Margaret, who passed on 4, 2013; parents; sister, Mary Rita Newell; brothers, Thomas and Richard Carrabine; brothers-in-law, Robert Newell and Lee Weber. Friends will be received 2-5 PM, , 12, 2014 at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Service will be held 11:00 AM, , 13, 2014 at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at All Souls in Chardon, Ohio. |

Obituary: Kathy Carr- Horton, 59, of Walbridge, passed away on 3, 2014 at Toledo Hospital. Kathy was born on 25, 1955, to Donald Carr and Murel Kontak. She worked for Foodtown until its closing and was a Produce Assistant Manager for Kroger. Kathy is survived by her children, Christopher Fisher and Tonya (Allen) Plummer; her grandchildren, Dustin Hernandez, Drew, Damon, and Dylan Plummer; her mother, Murel Kontak ; father, Donald Carr; brothers, Bill and Doug (Linda) Carr and significant other, Bob Kern. Kathy loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and everything they were involved with, especially their sporting events.
