Obituary: Carlos Samuel Cobb, 86 went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on 4, 2013 in Long Beach, California. He was born the first son to Carlos and Edna Cobbs in Eldorado, Kansas on May 13, 1926. He graduated from high school at East High School in Wichita, Kansas and worked for both Beech Aircraft and Boeing Aircraft in Wichita before coming to California. He loved Fishing. He came to Long Beach, California in the 1950s to work at the Douglas Aircraft Co. He worked as a precision grinder at Douglas for about 40 years and then retired at age 68. Most of his family including his father also worked for Douglas in Long Beach. He met his wife Anita LA Vaughn Ricketts in 1952 and they were married and had 2 sons David and Michael. He was married for over 25 years. He Lived on Fairman St. in Lakewood for over 50 years. He spent a few years after his retirement re-kindling his youth living in Eureka, Kansas but, then came back to California to finish out his life on Fairman St. where he lived with his youngest son Michael. He was a member of Truett Memorial Southern Baptist Church in Long Beach. He was active at Lakewood Masonic Lodge for many years as well as The Eastern Star, Sciots and Grotto. He also loved square dancing and was the president of the Country Squires square dance club where he traveled to dance at clubs around California, Arizona and Nevada. He is survived by his sons David Cobb and Michael Cobb who reside in Washington and California as well as his nieces Dottie Williams and Trisha Jansma and his great nephew Matt Williams. Carlos Samuel Cobb will be missed. |

Obituary: Barbara Ellen Cobb was born on 29, 1950 in Dearborn Heights, MI where she lived for about 18 years. She graduated from Crestwood High School and soon thereafter drove to California and attended De Anza . There she met and later married, Charles Howard Cobb. Their family flourished in the same home in Santa Clara, California for 46 years. a stroke in 2003, she overcame a myriad of health issues but landed back in the hospital a few times over the past year as her body was just unable to continue working so hard. The decision was made to bring her home where she could be comfortable and that is where she passed peacefully, the morning of , 24, 2015 at 64 years old. She is survived by her husband, daughter Jennifer and her 3 children, son Christopher and his 3 children and daughter Natalie and her 1 child, all living in California as well as her 2 brothers, Donald and William and mother Virginia who is still in her childhood home in Michigan. Donations may be made in her honor to the charity of your choice. Memorial Service will be held on , 12, 2015 at 11AM at Hope Lutheran Church, 2383 Pacific Dr., Santa Clara. |
