Obituary: Born 10, 1928 in Bloomington, Indiana, Guy Edward St. Clair was the youngest of six children. Even though he was the youngest child, he maintained a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility throughout his life. When he was in the 10th grade, his father passed away and right away, he got a job to help his family make ends meet. Later, he worked at the Herald Telegraph before being drafted into the Army to fight in the Korean War. Guy was discharged from the service in of 1952 but not before he was awarded two bronze stars for his service. his service, he returned to Indiana and to the newspaper business where he worked as a printer at the Indianapolis Star. It was there that he met his wife Patty, who he married on 7th, 1961. had two daughters; Suzanne in 1963 and Sharon in 1965. A few years after the birth of his daughters, he moved his family to California and settled in the city of Orange, CA where he continued his work as a printer. Guy and Patty also managed an apartment complex in Orange. Guy and Patty later moved to Redlands, CA where they helped raise their grandsons Alex and Erik. The two had a tremendous impact on their grandkids and taught them many of the life lessons Alex and Erik carry with them today. Patty pursued her passion as artist until she passed away in 2008. Guy and the rest of the family missed her dearly ever since. Earlier this year, Erik had a baby boy named Owen, making Guy a great-grandfather. The family is so grateful that he had the chance to meet Owen and are so thankful for all the joy and happiness Guy brought to their lives. |
