Obituary: Taken from us far too soon, Brandon Lynn Childress passed from this life unexpectedly , 11, 2015 in Quincy, California. Born 16, 1978 in Reno, Nevada to Jerry Lynn and Vickie Sue Childress, at the age of nine he and his family moved to the Northeastern California community of Quincy where Brandon was raised and educated graduating from Quincy High School as a member of the Class of 1996 where he was a passionate member of the schools football team. While attending high school Brandon committed to the U.S. Marine Corps where following graduation he served his country honorably as a member of the Marine Corps Reserve from 1996-1998. Shortly following his discharge Brandon began his career as a millwright with Sierra Pacific Industries where he worked until moving to Pennsylvania in 2008. Here he again worked as a millwright for Franklin Industries a hardwood flooring manufacturer for six years returning to Quincy a year ago. In 2004 on the shore of Bucks Lake he married Christyann Parker and to this union a beautiful daughter was born. The union later ended in divorce. Brandon had a love of water sports, enjoying wakeboarding and boating along with camping, although first and foremost in his life was his family, especially his children along with numerous dear friends. In passing Brandon leaves his dear children; Victoria Marie Childress of Chico, CA and Travis Lee Childress of Tiona, PA, his parents; Jerry Lynn Childress of Salem, Oregon, Vickie Sue Koskinen of Quincy, CA, grandparents; Marjorie Canady of Quincy, CA, Twila Foss and Larry Dunham both of Salem, Oregon along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A celebration of Brandons life to include Military Honors is planned for 18th, 2015 1:00PM at the graveside in the Quincy East Lawn . All are invited to continue the Celebration of Brandons Life at the Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch, 2116 Greenhorn Ranch Road, Greenhorn, CA following the services at the graveside.
