Obituary: Betty Jean Childers 26, 1951 - 13, 2016 Betty passed away peacefully surrounded by family, following a lengthy illness. She was a longtime Red Bluff resident. Betty enjoyed being outdoors hunting, camping, gardening, she enjoyed fishing the most. She spent many days fishing on the Sacramento River. Betty had a special talent for baking, being known for making the best pie crust around. She was an awesome cook. Using her talent for cooking she worked for Dibble Creek Station, Airport Restaurant, and the Elks Lodge. Wherever Betty was cooking she had a clientele that followed her. Betty is survived by, Husband Louis Reynolds, Dad Ron Hartman, 3 Sons Michael(Bernice) Childers, Jr. (Tricia) Childers, and Raymond (Robin) Childers. Sisters Sharlene Edwards, and Annette Dietrick. Brothers Jay C. Edwards, Merrill Edwards, Ronnie Hartman and Rodney Hartman. She had 4 granddaughters, Chelsey Alison, Rayann and Reagan Childers, and Kayla Childers. 2 grandsons Michael and Jesse Childers. 1 great granddaughter. Numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by, Husband Willard Vern Childers, Mother Buliah Mae Hartman, Father Clarence Edwards, Brothers Charlie and Robert Edwards, and Neil Hartman. Obituary: Barbara Jo Childers born 14, 1943, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones in her home on May 19, 2015 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her parents Lloyd "Doc" and Eileen Childers, Sister Beverly Nall, Brother Phillip Childers, and her son Raymond Smith. Barbara is survived by brothers Lloyd "Butch" Childers (wife Ellen) and Dennis Childers (wife Julie); Sisters Debbie Layton (husband Don), Sharon Judd (husband Jim) and Marsha Landess (husband Cal), her daughters Denise and Liberti and an amazing 7 grandchildren, , Heather, Arianna, Ashley, Faith, Gracie and Heaven, and one great-grand child Jaxon. There are also numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. Barbara always filled the room with sunshine. She blessed us with her charismatic spirit and very outgoing personality. Barbara was not shy about sharing her honest opinion if asked, and sometimes even if not asked. Barbara loved to do work in the legal field and was a "firecracker" of an employee. She made friends everywhere she went. She loved holidays with family and always made sure her home looked the part. One of her greatest accomplishments before she passed was to bring her family together and we couldn't be more thankful to her for that. She will be dearly missed and always remembered. A memorial service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel at 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306 at 10:00 am on , May 28, 2015. There will be a Celebration of Barbara's life held following the service at the Four Season Lodge located at 10500 Toscana Drive, Bakersfield, CA 93306 |
