Obituary: Eustaquia Visitacion Jamito Caylan was born on 28, 1920 to the late Leon & Pilar Visitacion Jamito at Bais, Negros Occidental, Philippines. She was the youngest among five sisters and a brother. completing high school, she married the late Zosimo Contratista Caylan and they were blessed with ten children - five sons and five daughters. Her tireless efforts in supporting their individual educational pursuit were not limited to her children. She was instrumental in helping a number of her children and grandchildren finish school and earn their degrees. Among them, one is a medical doctor, a dentist, a ship captain, teachers, nurses, and a number of commerce and business graduates. Not only was she successful in raising up her children, she also managed her husbands auto-manufacturing business. She loved to help people and lead out in community activities, politics and even became a member of the council in her local town. Being a very religious person, she accepted the Lord and was baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist faith. An active church member, she was a song leader and a Sabbath School superintendent back in her local church in the Philippines. She also sponsored a religious radio broadcast for years. Shes known to have her own daily personal devotion in reading the Bible and singing hymns upon waking up in the morning and before going to bed at night. Even in her sickbed, she always would love to hear someone read the Bible for her and would softly hum familiar songs she used to sing. She peacefully slept in the arms of God on , 11, 2011 while at Parkview Hospital in Riverside, California. She is survived by her ten children & their respective families here and abroad. A visitation is scheduled at Montecito Memorial Park Chapel on , 15, 2011 between 4 PM to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the same chapel on 17, 2011 at 1 oclock in the afternoon. Her remains will be laid to rest at Montecito Memorial Park following the service. under the direction of Montecito Memorial Park & Mortuary, Colton, California. |
