Obituary: Julio Ernesto Castro 23 de agosto, 1930 - 28 de abril, 2017 Julio Ernesto Castro nació el 23 de agosto del año 1930 en Mexicali, Baja California, México. Le sobreviven su esposa de cincuenta y cuatro años, Carolina Chávez Castro. Al igual, le sobre viven seis hijos; Julio, Daniel, Heriberto, Carolina Castro y Gabriela Castro Vásquez. Julio vivió en Mexicali hasta la edad de siete años. En 1937 se mudó con su familia a Tijuana, B.C. México. Sus padres fueron Arnulfo Castro y Luisa Díaz de Castro. Él fue el hijo mayor de tres. Sus hermanos fueron Octavio y Arnulfo Castro. Julio asistió 3 años a la Academia Magro en Tijuana, B.C. Al terminar cursos, Julio trabajo de vendedor en dulcería, mensajero del Banco Nacional de México, en ventas en el Gas Butano y ventas en Olympic Typewriter. También trabajo en supermercados como el mercado Internacional, Safeway y Vons. Su último trabajo antes de jubilarse fue en ventas de seguro de vida en American National. A Julio le encantaba jugar béisbol, sin embargo, tenía una condición en el pulmón que no le permitía corer largos trechos. Así que se hizo un fanatico del béisbol y adopto al equipo de San Diego, los Padres, como su equipo favorito. Le gustaba escuchar el juego en español mientras lo veía en la televisión y al mismo tiempo leyendo la sección de deportes en el periódico U.T. Otra pasión que tuvo Julio fue la música. Le encantaba cantar y tocar la guitarra. Julio estableció una linda y tierna tradición de dar serenata a su esposa e hijos en sus cumpleaños. Cuando sus hijos estaban lejos, les mandaba serenata por teléfono. Julio también dedico tiempo servicial a su parroquia, Monte Carmelo. Su devoción se alimentaba por su creencia que, en sus palabras, llegar al Señor era preparar con tiempo antes. Julio dedico más de cuarenta años a su iglesia Monte Carmelo. Julio tenia afán de dar apodos a la gente cercana como gesto de cariño. Su esposa era su monina, su mamita, le decía mi chiquitita. Su hijo Julio era el flaco, Daniel el Negro, Heriberto Príncipe, Roberto Bobón, Carolina, su Nienga, y su bebe, Gabriela, Chatita. A pesar de su demencia, Julio nunca olvido a sus hijos ni a su esposa. Fue un hombre bromista, cariñoso, detallista, querido, y aunque a veces obstinado con ideas, pero también con amor a su esposa y familia. Después de diez años de noviazgo, Julio se casó con Carolina Chávez el 27 de enero de 1963 en Nuestra Señora del Refugio en la colonia Hidalgo. Dios Nuestro Señor lo llamo al cielo el 28 de abril del año 2017. Julio solía escribir poesía. Un día después de fallecer, su hija Carolina encontró unos papelitos en el suelo con palabras y garabatos. Obituary: Juan was Born in Fabens Texas on 27, 1941. He passed away on 22, 2015 in Reseda, California. Juan is preceded in death by his parents Silvestre and Elena Castro and siblings Jose and Maria Theresa. Juan served proudly from 1963 to 1966 in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was Honorably Discharged. serving in the military, Juan came to California with then wife Judy Lynch and son, Rodney Lynch and his daughter Sandra. In 1974 he obtained a job at Anheuser Busch and retired after 28 years of service from the Quality Assurance Department and the local Teamsters Union. Juan is survived by his daughter Sandra (David Woods); siblings Nelly, Francis, Elvida, Lydia, Eystolia, Roberto, Carmen, Silvestre, Jr., and Maria De La Cruz. A Visitation will be held on , 2, from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 P.M. Interment will take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Fabens, Texas. Services under the direction of Bastian & Perrott, Oswald Mortuary, Northridge, California. |
